Ongoing Discussions
Congress are currently discussing reducing our Work Tax from 2% to 1%. There has also been some support offered for an increase in Import tax across the board.
I'd welcome my constituents views on these discussions.
I'd personally like to see Work Tax remain at 2%. This is because I feel it generates a large proportion of our daily income and ensures we have sufficient income across the month to adequately fund our MPPs commitment during the month while generating a slight surplus of around 40k to 70k. Although if VAT is increased this could counter balance the loss of income a work tax reduction would cause, however I'm not too sure I'd support an increase in VAT on food or weapons.
Alternatively we do have a fairly large gold reserve which we could spend to 'Issue Money' increasing the GBP/CC in our Country's Accounts. This would ensure that our MPPs would still be able to be afforded with a reduction in work tax with no increase in VAT as we'd have plenty of GBP/CC reserve to spend into for a while. However long-term could leave the UK in a slightly financially weakened position.
In terms of an increase in Import Tax on Food and Weapons. I'd be in favour of this to discourage international sellers and protect domestic suppliers. Ironically an increase in Import tax would cause a reduction in income as less international sellers would be encouraged to sell in our markets however I don't believe the country benefits too much from taxation of foreign sellers.
Closing thoughts
Once again I encourage respect in public dialogue to set a positive example that elevates the quality of politics in our country. This should enable a more intelligent dialogue on public issues to attract all citizens to take part. So I ask you to bear this in mind with your own contributions.
I also call for all Members of Congress to please consider being communicative via the media module, something I feel is important to increasing the population of the eUK. As an active media creates a well informed, content public, which works together with government strategies domestic or foreign and increases the citizenry's trust in their government.
A final reminder to all constituents, you can also get food from the NHS if you are below level 30 (and fighting for a main stream UK mu etc.) by clicking this link below;

Good article, I've been keeping a track of the way i've been voting in order to make something similar at the end of the term. V+S
The longtime PP of the Workers party voted 'NO' to the worktax decrease!?
How much it saves to the worker in comparison with how much money the government makes from it is just illogical. Saving about 0.3cc for the worker is virtually nothing, not even 1 q5 food.
It saves the new worker losing money to complete mission 13 and to continue using the admin provided companies.
We need to keep work tax at 2% as for too long we've been a society focused on the individual as oppose to the collective, I feel there is real support our community to make a change to a Government which spends and supports us all instead of rewarding economic division and individual wealth generation via low taxes. The maintenance of the current level of work tax is only the first step next we need some worthwhile effective Government spend to follow and justify this work tax. The Government needs to support the new worker as the 'free market' doesn't adequately enough as the admin provided companies aren't particularly profitable even at 1%.

So thats gonna bite our new and less developed players in the ass.
2mrw you are likely to have Oil, Alu and their food counterparts going into loss.
Please tell me how our economy is going to be awesome and able to fund all these collective programs when the nation isn't producing any RM that will sell, compromise's the profit streams for NHS and various MU's and forcing a flight of capital from our high Q companies and eventual physical flight?
Anyone who voted 'No' to this proposal has my most utter disdain either for their lack of ability to do math or their lack of care for new players and current instituations.
