Finland Joins Pacifica

As we all know, Finland Joined Pacifica-- which former President Oblige says “adds breadth to the alliance without adding a lot of exposure.” Pacifica, stated by its Description,“an alliance formed by the United States of America and Russia for mutual protection and gain are bound by mutual trust, and aim to secure their national borders to create a dominant position in the e-World.” Having already gained more prominent members such as Latvia, andTaiwan (ROC), Pacifica now welcomes its newest member, Finland!
Finland’s MoFA Chrayr and Pacifica Co-Secretary General Wild Owl made these remarks a few days after the joining of Finland. “I believe their addition was vital for eUS and Pacifica interests,” Wild Owl says. Chrayr added, “Pacifica's situation is very stable and supportive.”. Finland’s MoFA continued on about how Pacifica will become a huge Ally to them, “We had resigned Asgard and were considering a new alliance… we did of course consider other options too, but during the whole process Pacifica was the strongest option.”
Chrayr commented that “it was a very nervous time for Finland.” However, he reinforced his thoughts by saying that they “had very good atmosphere during the whole joining process.”
Wild Owl later explained the process of becoming part of an Alliance, “The Country President had to submit a formal application to the Pacifica Secretary Generals, with the backing of their Congress. It is then discussed and debated upon by the alliance members, and needed approval from all members of the Alliance to be accepted.”
Understanding the process elaborated the reason on why Finland’s nervousness showed. Pacifica is excited to have Finland, and Finland is equally excited to be a part of Pacifica. We hope that there will be a more effective Alliance in the outcome through communications and coordination.

America’s Private Militia’s Weigh In on Spanish War

President Deepchill the Commander in Chief of United States Armed Forces pushed the War Button and the National Army of America stormed onto the Spanish Peninsula, though I was unable to speak with the President before departure I am pretty sure the answer would be, 'CURRAHEE! Kill Double Spaniards!'
Flying in with Easy Company Militia I was able to speak with WhydoIbother who said, 'I am happy that we have a war. War boosts activity and increases consumption. Fighting in Resistance Wars has gotten stale. Fighting against an enemy and conquering new regions is a good change of pace. It is unfortunate that Plato chose to mess with consumption just as this campaign is about to get underway, but EZC will be there and we look forward to killing the Pig-disgusting Double Spaniards.'
I arrived on the USS Robert A. Heinlein after the US Marines had departed. Marine Commandant Legolas555 was in the jungle slitting throats and was unavailable for comment! Marines Pioneers' always were crazy.
Cubby of Seal Team 6 was boarding choppers for the flight in to assist the Marines and had this to say, 'I look forward to pushing back those pig-disgusting Double Spaniards and capturing the regions that best serve the great eUS.'
A eUS Military Aide supplied the WHPR with the following Press Release, 'I think it is very predictable. With Poland on the ropes, their pet Spain is vulnerable. It does surprise me that USA is in essence taking a leading position in the to come fight as opposed to fighting via MPP, but I don't think there has been to much surprise on which side the eUSA has been fighting in the Poland battles anyhow. Meet Kevin Sheridan
Here is the first look at a relatively new eRep citizen who is making a difference today. As Secretary of State he is in charge of maintaining relations between the eUS and the rest of the eWorld…
My plane had just landed in Cleveland. Comfortable flight and all, I even got bumped up to first class so I had lots of free drinks and a reasonable facsimile of dinner. Unfortunately I wasn’t going to Cleveland. Apparently I got on the wrong plane and instead of spending a few days with a “special friend” in Atlanta I wound up here. This is what happens when you travel shortly after the best victory party ever and run into Jude Conners who introduces me to his “magical bag” of, um, stuff that he has….
Anyway, I was in Cleveland and the last flight to Atlanta had already left so I didn’t have any choice but to stay the night and hopefully get a flight out in the morning. Even though I didn’t really know him, I called the only person I could think of that I knew lived in town…
Me: “Hey I am in town tonight, what are you up to?”
Kevin Sheridan: “Who is this? What do you want?”
Me: “It’s PilotPhil, I am in Cleveland for the night and was just wondering what you were doing? Maybe I can buy you a beer or something?”
Kevin Sheridan: “Seriously I don’t know who you are. You aren’t the guy that landed the plane on the Hudson are you? He was a pilot I think.”
Me: “No man, I am just a staff writer for the WHPR, I work for Deepchill just like you. I just thought I would look you up since I was in town.
Kevin Sheridan: "Sure, come down to Breastaurant, it's downtown on 7th."
I caught a cab downtown and made my way to Breastaurant. I was expecting a sports bar with well endowed servers, wings, too many televisions and sticky floors. I got what I expected. Sort of.
When I walked in I noticed lots of rehung Lebron jerseys and even a couple glass cases with Johnny Football memorabilia. I also noticed Kevin sitting at a table in the back with a bunch of guys that were really trying hard to pretend to watch the Cavs game. Lots of earpieces and sunglasses clued me into the fact that something wasn't quite right. I went over and introduced myself.
Me: "I’m Pilotphil, nice to finally meet you.”
Kevin Sheridan: “Um, yeah, you too. What’s up?”
Me: “I dunno man, what is up? What is with all the security tonight?”
Kevin Sheridan: “Listen man, we are just watching the game, the Cavs are finally starting to get it together…”
…I woke up in a small dark room with one of the “earpiece” guys removing some handcuffs from my bruised wrists…
Kevin Sheridan: “Sorry Pilot, it had to be done. We can’t be too careful these days. Your security clearance checks out mostly, I just had to make sure you were who you said you were, and there are still a few questions about DC’s basement…”
As it turns out Breastaurant is just a front for the government’s third option for a headquarters. Apparently after the victory party, a couple of Deepchill’s fraternity brothers somehow flooded the entire Pentagon with KY jelly and leftover tequila. Oddly enough the backup headquarters in (REDACTED) was temporarily closed due to asbestos removal. This left the third option which, as it turns out, is a sports bar in Cleveland.
Kevin agreed to a short interview for the WHPR and here is what I found out about the man.
Tyler Bubblar brought KS into the political realm as Secretary of the Interior during his term where he thrived and did many good things. After gaining a little bit of experience Mr. Sheridan connected with WildOwl and began working State. Seeing a rising star, Deepchill had the good sense to see that KS had a ton of potential and offered him the job of Secretary of State. He likes cupcakes but not with too much frosting. He has a cat but tells almost everyone that asks that it was a stray and he isn’t really a “cat guy”. His favorite color is green and he makes a badass meatloaf.
All funning aside, he has a thankless job. Almost everything is behind the scenes and few appreciate how difficult the work can be. From making sure we get damage from our allies when we need it to keeping our bonuses and watching out for hostile foreign attempts to disrupt our comfortable way of life, he does it all. KS has a large, loyal and growing staff. If you are interested in a thankless and difficult job that matters, please give him a shout and let him know that you are ready to help.

The US and Portugal are enjoying their offensive against Spain. Currently, the USA has won three battles and is about to attack. Portugal has won three battles and is up in Castilla La Mancha. Onward and upward to Victory!
Greece continues to work on removing the Republic of Macedonia from the Balkans, having won the first battle in the war. They are currently winning by a landslide in the next battle. At the same time Canada is trying to kick Macedonia out of North America.
Finland and Estonia are locked in the WAR to end all WARs, otherwise known as World War 100 to these long-time enemies. Finland has the upper hand currently, but can they keep it and finnish the job?
Turkey continues to do work on China, winning all five battles in the war. China is at nine regions. Can Turkey single-handedly take them back off the map? It looks like they just might. Do your thing, Turkey.
Colombia continues to beat up on Mexico, attacking them at every opportunity. The US just needs to keep a hold of NorthWest Mexico, and our southern neighbors will remain safe.
And to all the mother fu**ers that want to start a Freedom Fighter party in the US, I only have one thing to say:
We don't give a fu**.

Pulpo a la gallega
Una receta más de resultado de los antojos, y la culpa la tiene Juana con su receta de pulpo a la sanabresa. Así que he tenido que hacer esta receta de pulpo a la gallega o a feira, con patatas. No son cachelos, porque no son patatas gallegas, lo que hubiese bordado el plato.
Para hacer la receta, aunque es sencilla, he acudido al blog de un gallego de pro, Alfonso de Recetas de Rechupete que tiene su receta, como es debido. Así que he tenido una guía perfecta.
Ingredientes para 4 personas
1 pulpo de 1kg y 1/2,
4 patatas medianas,
1 cebolla,
unas hojas de laurel,
sal, sal en escamas,
pimentón dulce y aceite de oliva virgen extra.
Elaboración del pulpo a la gallega
Tenía un pulpo congelado que iba a utilizar para otra receta asi que me ha venido de perlas. La cuestión es que es mejor congelarlo antes de cocinarlo porque de ese modo se rompen las fibras musculares que hacen que se quede más duro en el cocinado. Lo sacamos 24 horas antes a la nevera para que se descongele y lo echamos al agua hirviendo con una cebolla y unas hojas de laurel.
En el momento de echarlo al agua lo asustamos 3 veces, esto es, lo metemos y lo sacamos 3 veces, de esa forma veremos como se encoje (se asusta). Lo dejamos cocer ya dependiendo el tamaño. En el caso de un pulpo mediano unos 30 minutos serán suficientes.
Lo sacamos, dejamos enfriar y cortamos en rodajas las patas. Si son muy gordas en rodajas más finas que si son patas pequeñas. También cortamos la cabeza en trozos, limpiándola bien, eso si no la limpiamos antes de cocerla (que es lo preferible) dándole la vuelta.
En otra cazuela ponemos a cocer con un poco de sal unas rodajas de patatas de 1 cm aprox.
Degustación
Para terminar la receta de pulpo a la gallega, servimos en platos de madera (si tenemos), las patatas y encima el pulpo. Añadimos un buen chorro de aceite de oliva virgen extra, el pimentón y sal en escamas o gorda.
