as Appleby has returned the Emergy cash could it be possible to have a total figure the UK has lost from bigant theft so if he does wish to pay it back we have a solid number from him.

Im thinking as he taken money from money markets that was making cash, then loss in profits should be included in that figure

Money markets are tricky. You put your cash into money market and start losing it instead of making it, if you're not careful.

There is no way you should be making a loss. You set it to sell at a certain amount and it either sells or it dont, either way you have the gold or the cash

Many traders were offering cash at certain amount that was 0.005 last week. They were at a loss.
Possibly some UK orgs were doing the same too, before BigAnt withdrew it.

Only complete and utter morons can possibly make a loss on the MM in the current form.

If you convert gold included at an exchange rate of 1 gold = 200.00cc and add it to the total cc (including the private investments) it tallys at 1,398,559.34cc. It's slightly difficult to produce a figure the Government (and private investment) MM cash would have made as the market fluctuates however I'd say around 1,133,657.34cc was on the MM and at an exchange rate of 1 gold for = 201.00cc this cc would have made around 5,660.00~ every 10 to 15 days.

There are 65 Org's listed - I thought BigAnt said 66 (unless I'm mistaken?) please correct me if i'm wrong!
Until all Org's are secure surely no one should be repaying loan?
I would be interested to know how much financial market "fishing" (as I understand it's called) actually makes. Does it make hundeds, thousands? If it is minimal then surely money should remain in the Country coffers. Can the CP draw on country coffers if it is not in an Org?
Do we actually want Orgs, if it is a temptation for any future CP to run off with the treasury if he is not happy with criticism or doesn't think his successor will be up to the job?
Whilst people have been congratulation Appleby on 'securing' money, a dangerous precedent has been set as others have stated. Morally I would have been happier if Appleby hadn't taken a share and BigAnt had run off with the lot. At least we would have had ALL the moral high ground.

I'm not entirely sure the reason for the discrepancy between the MoF list and BigAnt's count of Country Organisations however a potential reason could be is that BigAnt double counted the UK Army V/The RosenQueen Company twice as it was listed twice on my MoF 'The Books' gdoc.

TG Loans can be re-payed to me and I'll transfer them into a safe organisation or directly to the Country Accounts.

The MoF estimates you can make 0.5cc on every 100cc every 10-15 days at market rates. The CP needs Congressional approval to withdraw fund from the Country Accounts however the CP does not require any additional approval to withdraw from Country Organisations.

The use of Government Organisations maybe needs to be discussed by all - the CP and their team, Members of Congress and all UK citizens. In my opinion it'd be a shame not to use them as a result of 'us' as a country being unable to elect a CP which we can trust not to take the Treasury however they have been a fiscal weak point for many an administration in the UK and around the new world.

With regard to the money market, that's about 1000cc per 100k per month approx (i think). Is it worth it?
With regard to Org's being used for MU and the supply of weapons - do you know approx how much this costs per month, i.e. how much is actually needed each month? In terms if the generating profit from the MM is worth it...it's very subjective. It's not too much effort MM fish so putting the issue of trust to one side there is no harm to the effort. However I appreciate it's not so easy to put the issue of trust to one side anymore.

In term of MoD use such a COs and Weapon supply, this is something very much at the digression of the CP and Congress. We could look at capping military spend however each conflict is different. If all military spend is planned and justified per expenditure I don't see why a 24hr wait for MoD funds as we transfer it from the Country Accounts into the MoD org as and when needed is a major obstacle.

There is real merit to having all spend go through Congress and limited the amount directly available to the CP and their team however it does lead to the chance the Country Money is accessible when we are wiped and have no Congress to vote to transfer cc into the Country Organisations however I've been in the new world for a long time and the UK hasn't really been completely wiped often and for a particularly long period of time compared to other countries.

However I also would like to think we can trust of future CP to resist the temptation of taking the UK treasury without Congress as a constant check...it'd quickly lead to a dysfunctional Government if Congress didn't trust the CP with any funds.

All food for thought really...I'm not sure there is an easy answer.

Sorry Madelina, Maybe I should have been clearer. The list of Charitable Organisation are those which 'loan' a Country Organisation to use it's newspaper, store funds, MM fish etc. It's not a comprehensive list of all charitable organisations in the UK. I don't believe the eBrit University uses a Country Organisation?

I wouldn't even know how it could - and didn't know there were such things until just now! This is something that should be covered when eBrit puts together a Masters Degree in eUK government! You can start by teaching me....!
