[Speaker] New Congress + The Month Ahead

Day 2,744, 14:59 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Speaker of the House

Evenin’ Chaps,

As you will all be aware the Congress election was yesterday and today the new members of Congress have taken their seats; since I am the Speaker and all that I thought I would give you all a rundown of the makeup of the 67th eUK Congress and a bit of an overview of what is planned in the month ahead.

The first thing for me to introduce to the eUK is the Congress Spreadsheet, which displays a lot of information about what congress is doing in one concise place, also with a link to Congress’ new IRC channel, details of previous votes and (soon) details of CS applications once the new CS committee is up and functioning.

If you’re at all interested in what congress is getting up to then check it out, I will be continuing to add new features and information to it as time goes on.

So, here are your Congress members for the next month:

I will be looking to keep track of each Congress members activity and attendance at IRC meetings, as well as publicising their voting record and their contributions in debate.

Woldy’s Angels (Stop Treasury Theft)Bill

The first proposal that Congress has been debating in the first few hours has been a bill that was originally put forward by VoodooMike in the last Congress, but the debate had to be suspended to accomodate an emergency NE proposal against Montenegro; so this Bill ran out of time. Karacticus (TUP) has now resubmitted it to Congress and a 48hr debate is underway.

I have proposed an amendment to this; which mainly focuses on making it a bit clearer and changing a section regarding the selection of ‘Trusted Persons’ to hold our cash. If you want to have a look at it you can on the Spreadsheet.

That’s all for now, ay?

Addaway
Speaker of Mongress Congress
