I would like to note that my main source was the Erepublik Wiki. Information that you will read might be inaccurate due to the limited amount of sources written from that period of time. I have done my best to do as much research as possible.





ATLANTIS was officially dissolved in mid-May of 2009 when its members, Sweden and Germany, declared war on each other. Germany was near of finishing its trial membership when a new Swedish president was elected who used the history of conflict his country had with Germany in the past as an excuse for war. Sweden got backed up by an absolute majority inside ATLANTIS, including Poland who joined the attack on Germany. The UK on the other hand backed up Germany according to the Erepublik Wiki. In mid-February 2009, Argentina and Greece left their military alliances and were the first countries in V1 who changed military sides. Argentina left ATLANTIS after they lost a war versus Brazil and Indonesia during the ATLANTIS Invasion of France. After stating that Argentina didn’t receive help from its allies, the Argentine Government left the alliance and joined the PEACE GC. Greece was attacked by Turkey in the Second Balkan War and was left completely occupied. ATLANTIS mercenary forces organized Greek resistance which led Greece join ATLANTIS soon after and leaving the PEACE GC military block.

Germany was left completely occupied and divided between Sweden and Poland as a result of the Third Swedish-German War which caused the dissolution of ATLANTIS. Soon after this war ended, a PEACE coalition of Hungary, Italy and France attacked former-ATLANTIS forces in Germany starting the Central European War. Both Sweden and Poland were defeated, Germany got almost all of its original regions back and got to occupy a few of the Danish regions, except Nordjylland, which was left to Hungary. This action put Germany as a pro-PEACE GC country until it officially became a member of the alliance in September/October 2009.


The UK official foreign policy after the dissolution was based on neutrality. The British public was divided on joining PEACE, staying neutral or join the new-to-be-formed block of ATLANTIS successor alliances of EDEN and Fortis. Several events sparked some diplomatic scandals between the UK and its former allies, the most important being the Training War with PEACE GC member Hungary where Hungary was left to occupy Scotland. Hungary had a border with Norway and Canada and even though the TW deal stated that Scotland wouldn’t be used as an invasion base, the UK former allies the USA and Ireland saw this as an act of betrayal. The British Government was left angry and started signing alliances with PEACE GC members. It would become a full member of PEACE GC on 15 July 2009.




PEACE GC established itself as the dominant military force after the collapse of ATLANTIS in mid-May 2009. Their first military action could have been easily predicted due to some local military conflicts which included the Hungarian occupation of Scotland and Indonesian occupation of Kyushu. The United States of America and Canada had already several former-ATLANTIS member nations on their borders: Russia, Portugal, France and Mexico before the above-mentioned events occurred. After an Indonesian-Japanese Training War, Indonesia was left having Kyushu under its control, which gave the country a border with the USA. On the other side of the world, Hungary was let to occupy Scotland in a Training War deal with the British Government, thus getting a border with Canada.



World War III began with France attacking the Canadian region of Nova Scotia on 13 July 2009 (Day 602). Both sides had all Mutual Protection Pacts activated; the French ones were activated during the ATLANTIS Invasion of France. The Battle of Nova Scotia happened to be the largest battle until that day and a special Erepublik Insider article was published explaining the battle statistics. After landing in Nova Scotia, France attacked and occupied Prince Edward Islands. Russia decided to finally join the war and managed to occupy Alaska and attack Washington while France attacked Nunavut. Both battle were won by the PEACE GC coalition. Meanwhile, a region swap occurred with the UK; France made a deal with the British Government over letting the British occupy Brittany and then Nova Scotia in order to have an allied base in case of a counter attack.




A chance of counter attack happened when the USA and Canada got initiative while retreating from the battles of Manitoba and Idaho. The USA attacked Manitoba (a French-controlled region of Canada) while Canada attacked Washington and Alaska. Both Russia and France used the same strategy: they retreated from all battles and got the initiative back. In order to avoid the situation over the initiative, Russia attacked multiple American regions and conquered them in the following days. France managed to regain the initiative and focus on the regions of Quebec.




Norway and North Korea attacked Russia on 22 July 2009 (Day 611) in order to help their American/Canadian allies against PEACE forces. Russia soon lost initiative in North America allowing Canadian and American forces to capture back most of Russian-occupied regions. Meanwhile, Russia managed to defend their original regions and occupy North Korea and also counter attack Norway and conquer Nord-Norge. This wouldn’t have been easy without Indonesia and Portugal, who joined the Invasion on 25 July 2009 (Day 614).

France was facing heavy Canadian resistance after Spain joined the war by attacking mainland France in Europe. Brazil soon joined the war and got Spain out of France. After this intervention, France defended from Canadian attacks and got back on the offensive again. Indonesia attacked Hawaii from their base in Kyushu in Japan and they were basically alone against the USA and their activated MPPs. Indonesia was well known for its strong tanks at that time which allowed them to be on the offensive in this war. Soon after Hawaii fell, the Battle of California was opened. Portugal attacked Georgia and soon advanced into the continent.




Following regions swaps which brought the UK, Iran and Hungary into Canada and Russian, Portuguese and Indonesian advance into the US, France launched a final attack on the last Canadian region of Ontario. The battle lasted longer than expected with a French victory and full occupation of Canada.




Florida was left as the last American territory unconquered by the PEACE GC invading coalition. It was the most populated region since most of American soldier moved to the regions after the invasion was taking full force. The region also had a high quality hospital and defence system which made it a heavily defended fortress. In order to avoid a complete occupation of the USA and closing all active wars, the PEACE GC started discussing peace plans. All countries were in favor except Russia.

Indonesia and Portugal signed a NAP with the USA but due to some game mechanism based on MPPs and wars, the war continued. The US was on the offensive again and managed to conquer back some regions. Russia tried to block the USA by attacking their regions which bordered Indonesia and Portugal but due to a bug that appeared, the Russian-American war was suspended. Portugal signed a NAP again and completely left the American continent by the end of August. Indonesia was left with California only and managed to defend it in the first American counter attack. Indonesia didn’t have the power to launch attacks on the USA again but has done a strategy of attacking the USA and blocking them in attacking California. The strategy fell after the Indonesian President was banned. The USA took California and then Hawaii. Indonesia was pushed out of the war, in the beginning of September.

Russia faced multiple attacks coming from the USA since Russia was the last PEACE country left in the USA. Colombia joined the war which let Russia regaining initiative in the war. The Battle of New Jersey was the most decisive battle since Russia would be on the offensive again after winning the region. After Colombia lost the Battle of Nebraska, Russia decided to give up and fully focus on Scandinavia where Norway and Sweden opened a front against Russia.

Hungary was the last PEACE GC country left in North America, holding several Canadian and now American regions under occupation. During August, September and most of October, both sides didn’t force any major attacks. On 21 October 2009 the USA decided to open the Battle of Manitoba, a Hungarian-held region. The battle was the greatest battle in that time with a decisive US victory over PEACE GC. By the end of October, Hungary was out of North America.




The first country to leave PEACE GC was Italy on 11 November 2009. The reason was the PTO done by Croatia and PEACE GC not helping Italy in defending against it, instead sending voters to PTO Canada. The second one was Indonesia who left the alliance two days after, following a PEACE GC disapproval of the Indonesian declaration of war against Malaysia. Italy and Indonesia were followed by other major alliance members and PEACE GC was declared dead on 19 November 2009. France was one of the only countries who expressed interest in saving the alliance but no overall support was made. France later formed the Entente together with Italy and Ukraine. The event of PEACE GC member leaving the alliance one by one in a very short time was named the November Cascade.






Erepublik Defence and Economy Network (EDEN) was created in September 2009, during the last phase of the war in North America. It functioned even earlier as a “brotherhood” with no official contract or treaty. The alliance was formalized with the signing of the Treaty of EDEN on 26 September 2009. EDEN was an alliance created to be a successor to ATLANTIS, the other alliance being Fortis. Fortis never formalized as an alliance and from its roots Broalliance was born as an alliance between Canada and the USA during the Invasion. Both countries joined EDEN later.

After the dissolution of PEACE GC, a new alliance was formed called Phoenix. PEACE GC was called a global defensive alliance while Phoenix on the other hand was called a global offensive alliance. Both EDEN and Phoenix alliances will engaged in a World War starting in December 2009.
