You know, I almost didn't run for Chairman-President this month. I was ready to take some time to focus on specific things instead of the overall picture, the job of the Chairman-President. It had been a rough few month, to be honest, and I was tired. But then a few people convinced me to run again and I did, unopposed.

For the first time in the party's 6½ year history, SFP is a Top Five Party! After months of flirting with the Top Five, recruiting like crazy, and reporting ALL TEH MULTIEZ... our hard work paid off! We've done it, Comrades!

Ironically, this happened right as the party was preparing its first ever party program. The Committee of Correspondence, chaired by SFP veteran member Phoenix Quinn. This program was approved by the membership at large on September 1st and will remain as the guiding principles and goals of the party for the next four months. Click here for more information.

The SFP Presidential Primary was recently held to choose a Presidential candidate, Aramec won the primary with 71% of the vote.

Over There!: Why I fought in Thailand

Some may question why a citizen so young was so drawn to a fight abroad, for the sake of another country. But when asked if I would like to accompany Bear Cavalry to freedom fight for Thailand, I agreed without hesitation.

First and foremost, I am not a believer in dictatorships. All citizens throughout the eWorld should be able to have their say in the governing of the country, and of the people who represent them. There is a reason that principles such as checks and balances have come about. But instilling democracy was not the main reason I decided to fight in Thailand.

Albeit important ones, the aforementioned reasons were all secondary objectives. As it was for one central purpose that I found myself fighting for the people of Thailand in the recent revolution; I’m quite sure the bulk of reasoning behind this won’t elude any citizens of the eUS. This war was about dealing a vengeful blow for the classless behaviour shown a year earlier by Thai fighters, when an air strike was launched on the eUS on September 11th, a day of mourning and commemoration of a real national tragedy. This was a war about putting not only the Thai Mobile Infantry, but the standing powers of Thailand in their place. This was a war that needed to happen.

Striving to pull a good note from a bad situation, however, I digress. The Thai Revolution exemplifies the potential of what can be accomplished when citizens ban together backed by a solid idea. Oppressed peoples are able to be freed, evil regimes are able to be displaced. Together we were able to recreate and establish an active government run by the people, for the people; all while dealing a bittersweet deal of revenge.

Foreign Affairs: Chilean Friendship?

1) Can you tell me a little about yourself? How long have you been playing? How long have you been on the Chile FA team? Any experience in other countries?

1)I´m Yosemite  Sam01, a RL-German living for more than 20 years in South America, currently in Bolivia, and I´ve been playing the game since October 2013. During nine month I was German and Danish ambassador to Chile and also two months ambassador to Venezuela. In Germany I was the government spokesman in three ocasions.  In October 2014 I worked the first time for the MoFA team Chile. And since April 2015 I have been involved constantly in the Chilean Foreign Affairs, from that four months as MoFA.

2) Tell us about Chilean FA policy these days, very active on the war front while adhering to no formal alliance, who are you major allies and enemies these days? Are you satisfied with your performance on the world stage?

2) Well, the goal of our CP at the beginning of the month was to help our allies which were occupied by foreign powers as there were the UK, Ireland, Mexico, Germany and Turkey and others even at the cost of a wipe of our own country. And we achieved a big part of this aim as our attack on Brazil forced not only the Brazilians but also Argentina and Peru to withdraw from a lot of regions they had occupied all over Europe, South America and Oceania.

Our attack on Brazil was never aimed on Peru and Argentina as we didn't want to involve them directly. But both - Peru and Argentina - broke the agreements we had made in the months before. Right to the beginning of the war we made clear that we didn't want to expand the war further than Brazil with which we had some unfinished business after Brazil had attacked us when Chile was helping its allies in Europe. And all three countries declined a very generous Chilean offer for a regional NAP in South America.

3) Chile and the USA have been fighting indirectly for a while now, first in Western Europe and lately we had a showdown in Paraguay where you had the upper hand, what do you think brought about this victory? Superior Chilean coordination?

3) The US airstrike on Paraguay failed because of several reasons of which one was indeed the better planning and coordination from Paraguay and Chile. But on the other hand I think it wasn't really popular in the US to attack a tiny state - and also former long term ally - like Paraguay.  Finally the airstrike was planned poorly by the US government itsself.

4) If I remember correctly, the last alliance between Chile and the US ended around Nov-Dec 2014, when we signed a non-aggression pact with Asteria and the Spanish-American war broke out. How do you evaluate the American strategic shift in retrospect? Do you agree that the US benefited overall?

4) When the US changed sides at the end of 2014 it had to be clear for everybody in this game that the fear in the US of a foreign invasion is much bigger than the willingness of the Americans to stand together with their allies and to fend off the opposing side´s attacks. In the short term the US could benefit from the change as it prevented an already planned large scale operation of Asteria against the US. But the US never has been seen and they won´t be seen as new friends in the countries of their former enemies. They´re just welcome to add more damage to their former enemies firepower. And in some Asteria countries  the communities and governments are already thinking about reverting this situation and the relations towards the US. That could mean in the long run that in case of an invasion the US would have to face much more enemy damage than before the end of 2014.

5) Any final words to the American public?

5) I would like to see the US on our side again. There are still a lot of friendships between many players and military units in our countries.

Bear Cavalry News: Measuring Success

As the former first Director of Build-A-Bear, I recently decided to conduct a test of our Build-A-Bear Program. Is it working? Is it effective?
Here is the points I have concluded from our almost 5 month old program:

Also, Build-A-Bear has literally become a self sufficient machine with leadership.
We've managed to create a machine that trains itself into leadership with no help from BC leadership. The program is completely run by former Build-A-Bear Cadets. In this regard, Recks did an excellent job with Eddie, and thus Eddie has done an excellent job.

In conclusion, Build-A-Bear is a complete success for both SFP and BC.

*EdgarFigaro* A bit about myself...I really enjoy reading, watching movies. I'm a big fan of baseball and basketball. I really enjoy meeting new people and learning their respective stories.

*GoTJ* How did you learn about erepublik?

*EdgarFigaro* I believe I stumbled across eRepublik when looking for a new political simulation game to play; although admittedly I didn't believe, at first, that I would enjoy eRepublik as much as I do today. The concept drew me in, but it was the great community that really keeps me as active as I am.

*GoTJ* Why did you choose eUS, as your home?

*EdgarFigaro* I chose eUS as my home because it is where I live. Seemed fitting🙂

*GoTJ*  Which citizens have been the most influential?

*EdgarFigaro* Influential citizens...I don't even know where to begin. During my short amount of time here there has been a wide array of people who have assisted me in learning the basics of eRepublik; namely EddieA, Franklin Stone, Jaden A., Jude Connors, shiloh13, Sunkisto, and hoss1965. Apologies if I've forgotten anyone, I truly appreciate all the help everyone has given me.

*GoTJ*  Who is the biggest villain?

*EdgarFigaro* Biggest villain...I haven't met anyone yet who I would personally call a villain yet. There have been other people who I've seen air their grievances about other citizens; and I'm sure they have their reasons. I've met a few peculiar citizens, but no one I would characterize as a villain.

*GoTJ* Where do you picture yourself, in a year?

*EdgarFigaro* In a year...I see myself still helping to fulfill SFP's ideals and the party's potential in any way that I can. Possibly trying my hand at eUS Congress and seeing if I can help out there as well; and hopefully by then my strength will be much higher and I can contribute more to Bear Cavalry, and the eUS as a whole on the fighting grounds.

NEW PARTY PROGRAM RATIFIED!

I am happy to report that the New Party Program, to be in effect from Sept.1 - Dec.31, 2015, was ratified by a strong vote of active members in an open poll.  The final tally:  22 votes approving the Program, 1 vote rejecting it.

The SFP Party Program is a re-invention of an old idea.  Way back before the Revolutionary Committee even existed, when the Socialist Freedom Party was beginning to find its way, the leading comrades developed a Party Program as a way to address current issues, to provide a way for potential friends and allies to determine to what extent they agreed with what the Party was trying to do, and to have a ready store of political "ammunition" for people campaigning for office or writing articles.

Eventually, as V2 came along, and then other changes to the game, the old Party Program became less and less relevant as a guide to action.

The New Program serves much the same purpose as the ancient one. But it was formulated in a way that will, hopefully, keep it lively and useful as a tool for ongoing development of the socialist-freedom movement.  In particular, now it includes an expiration date.

In a timely fashion prior to Jan. 1, 2016, a new Committee of Correspondence will be formed to revise, amend, improve and refresh the Program.  And then once again ask for the active membership to ratify or reject it.  For maximum Program enjoyment, rinse and repeat this process of Program renewal every 4 months.

Over The Back Fence: Public Apology

We all make mistakes, personally I like to admit my mistakes; the other day I made a huge one. So I wish to take this opportunity to publicly apologize to the Commander of the Private Military Unit (PMU) Easy Company Militia and IES Director DeepChill. While directing my ire at the 'eUSA Forum meta government' for failing to update a Document that I feel is essential to America, I wrote in such a manner that it seemed as though I was after DeepChill personally; nothing could be further from the truth. I have great respect for DeepChill, DC has stood at my side many times when others wanted my head; being apolitical DC makes the perfect IES Director.

You may ask why I feel this document is essential to America? First it leaves a very bad and unorganized impression of America on immigrants who wish to come here. Second it does not allow for input from American Citizens concerning the immigration of citizens, either good or bad. Maybe a citizen knows the citizen applying for Citizenship is a known scammer or a known Multi Farmer or maybe they know the citizen in question is neither. If this document can not be recovered and a new one must be created, like the Congressional History already lost; oops...all of America's immigration History will be lost in transferring to the new document.

IMO the 'eUSA meta government' has failed on its promises of helping citizens, has failed in protecting our shores with a National Military Unit (NMU) which in essence is asking to do exactly what the Black Sheep Party and the VNM-214 PMU were accused of doing; to be allowed to walk away with Tax Funded Government Infrastructure -as soon as they are self sufficient. It is also my opinion that they are failing to take immigration seriously and may at this very moment be driving away Citizen Soldiers who are members of the many PMUs that defend America out of Loyalty.
