[RN] Strike Sunday - recommendations.

Good day sailors.
I promised to give my recommendations for changes in regulation of the Sunday Strike and here they are:
1. Strike should start at 04:00 eRepublik time (12:00am UK time) and end at 14:00 eRepublik time (10:00pm UK time), giving all players in eUK a chance to fight with us no matter where they are in RL.
2. First in damage from each division should have a separate award (tanks and/or gold I suggest).
3. First in damage from each regiment should have a separate award (tanks I suggest).
4. I suggest and a big challenge - the regiment with the most citizens on the top5 leader board for the battle(s) between 04-14 eRepublik time wins the big price. Price may be gold, money or something like that and would be distributed among the participants in the battle from that regiment. Distribution can be done by the Regiment or MU commander and should include top5 fighters and/or others at its discretion. The same challenge can be done and per divisions.
And one more thing - fight smart!
Damage done in a battle that doesn't need it is damage thrown away. If it is not needed there, fighting there only serves to waste your time and supplies. Try to fight in one of our priority battles which have the damage under 55%.

Don't think I'll make the strike today - not that it matters much with my strength stat. So I would like a longer window for the strike, but I can't really comment on the rest.
The thing is that we rely on only one person organising the strike. If there aren't more people involved, not much more can be done...
We should assign the organization to more people then.
Hi GrEnDeLi - thanks for telling us your ideas. I've looked at them below...
"Strike should last longer" - a few people have asked for this. I'll talk to the RN commanders about it and see what they think.
"First in damage for (division/regiment) should be rewarded" - the problem here is that very often the same people top the board, so we would be rewarding only a very few people. Strike Sunday isn't all about damage, it's about the MU community as well. We try to share the love as equally as we can 🙂
"Extra reward for regiment with most players in top 5" - while the regiments are mostly organised according to divisions, this means giving the prize to Reg/Div 4 and Reg/div 3 every week. Not fair on Reg/div 1 or 2.
At the moment Evil Doctor has to be online solidly for all three hours of the strike, to hand out kits. And we trust people to claim their kit and then post their damage. If we make the strike longer or increase the rewards, that could change the whole way the strike operates. Do we have to start checking that people have done the damage they claim to have done? Will we more organisers online to monitor and hand out kits for a longer period of time? What happens if we can't get enough organisers online - do we cancel the Strike?
That's not ruling anything out, but it's worth considering that increasing the Strike beyond what it is at the moment could represent a lot more work than you think.
1. With longer time for strike we improve MU community and will encourage people to participate.
2. More people will fight for awards "first in damage" and "top5 leader board" DURING Strike Sunday, so your statements about "immovability" of the winners will not be valid.
3. Of course that will changes "the whole way the strike operates" - that is the goal I think. Instead of participating a 7-8 the same players we will have more participants and strike will be much more interesting.
4. Of course this will require more people for organization and regulation (distribution of packs, checking damage, calculate results etc.), but it will worth.
I think the problem here is finding more reliable people to help out with the strikes. When I was more active I used to help out with a strike day or two, but I tend to be a lot more busy these days. Maybe you should give it a go 🙂
