I was debating with a friend whether I would try writing my failed love story with a girl we will hide in the code CM. That friend said I should try, since it is how I moved on in the past, but I am too shy to post it in a blog or in social media, so I decided to use media here in Erepublik, of which will serve as my sort of "test audience" on how people will respond (as comments or PM) to teenage love stories (Yes, I'm just turning 18, but my age had nothing to do with my administration skills). Besides, its been the holiday season.

Congratulations to this series because it is now the top entry in Yahoo and Google when you search the worst love story of our generation. We have made a statement with your utmost support, and I thank you. I will be having some giveaways after the series ends, so don't miss it.

"At first, I really never wanted to read it. Its just about her, but now I'm a fan." --Liana Paldrov, former Finance Minister

"Since Al Raposas started his article series The Worst Love Story of Our Generation, I have been motivated to start writing these kinds of articles too." --Boy Pick Up, former President

Thanks for making this the fifth top article in Philippine media for December 9, 2013. For that, I'd betray some photos now. 🙂

CM with Zorro, not the one played by Antonio Banderas, but the strange yet popular street icon of UP Diliman that usually appears in the Oval every 4 PM. I also had a picture with Zorro, but I can't find it. (Please do not misuse the image for bad intentions or purposes.)

We graduated from high school, and the only thing about her that made me happy was... I got a higher grade than her among the graduating class. I was rank 26, while she was rank 28. Just don't consider the fact the batch was just 192.

Well, I remember reading a story on our last Filipino exam about high school friends, upon reaching college, had never greeted nor talked with each other again. That's a sad story, though that time I never really got it. Still, sometimes, things that you don't believe in are proven in your own sights.

It was first year college when I began to realize the rationale of this story. Of course, since I was a popular icon back in high school, my batch mates, and even seniors, greet me at times that we meet. All except one. That's right, CM. We met that school year a few times. Not even a handful though, but still significant. Now, I really thought I moved on from the past so I'm all wondering why on earth does she not give me a chance to forge a friendship once more. Siya pa yata yung hindi naka-move on, ano?

And yes, the grand order of the universe or whatever you call it gave me the First Lunch. As you can remember, I always wanted to have lunch with her, hoping that could at least improve whatever there is left for the two of us.

It was a fine day, and fortunately for me, I didn't have my 1 to 2.30 PM class. That meant a pretty hearty and on time meal for me that day. However, as I was walking towards the panciteria near the Main Library (some call it Cantonan), I saw CM with MR, along with some of my 4th year HS classmates. Let's hide these two in the code KG and KB. Well, sounds like a defunct spy agency if you put them together.

I did my best not to be noticed and just kept distance. Its not my fault if they're also using the same route anyways. However, all was futile when MR turned around and saw me. He was like: P.I. yan! Ikaw ba yan, AR? Long hair na tayo ah. Sama ka? (In high school, we were required to have military cut)

Of course, I can see in CM's eyes that she didn't really want my very decaying presence there but I consented, because MR was so beaming to me in his UST uniform. Wala pa naman akong pera, ta's mukhang kakain pa itong mga 'to. Nakakahiya pala kung ganun nga.

MR's profile photo since June of this year. He's with CM there.

I purposely fell behind to observe. It can be assumed that they were in a relationship for more or less a year by this time, so surely I can see something. And, my intuition did not fail me. Unlike a while ago, before they noticed I was there, CM now was swaying her hand and pasimpleng hahawakan ang kamay ni lalaki. Now, as a conservative guy, I really don't want HHWW, or just simply doing it in a public place. Is this a ploy to ward me off? To make me jealous?

It didn't end there. She even pulled MR's hand to form a slight akbay on her. And by this time, they were all sweet and kulang na lang maghalikan sila sa harap ko. Just imagine the gravity of this act that I witnessed, but I think sanay na sina KG at KB na ganito sila ni CM. And to think that by this time as well, I still have some feelings for this girl, though really reduced now since 2nd year HS. What do you expect? I'm just wishing now that we can be friends again, not just acquaintances.

The journey took almost half an hour. We then reached Pook Area 2, which I actually thought was a redundant name, but no big deal. We went to one of the... well, what do we call these food stalls there? Eateries? Let's just call it an eatery. Now, this eatery had the old Jollibee seats that are color red and had three oval holes on the back. They all ordered, but I'm penniless. Good thing was, KG also didn't eat. I was saved from humiliation once more.

And that time, I began to be the phantom sixth man, even if we're just five. For the most part, it was just CM and MR talking to each other. Of what I recall, they talked about sharing notes from high school that was needed for college, their past dates and where they went, and even if they hide it under the table, I can still see them holding hands.

I only spoke a few times, almost entirely about the subjects I had then. They were all envious because I got Math 1, which, as you guessed, the lowest Math course in UP Diliman (though they say Math 2 is actually easier). What can I say? But still, even if MR, KG and KB talked to me, CM did not. Why was she like that, I don't know then. But at the least, I had First Lunch. The group broke up after eating, when CM and MR had to board a Katipunan jeep. I think they're going to extend their date elsewhere.

I still ate Pancit Canton later that day, since that was cheaper than the lowest offered in the eatery a while ago.

When I got home that day, my mother was wondering. I don't know if I really was that happy or its just my natural happy disposition, but the conversation went like this.

[the following is not verbatim]

Mom: O, ba't masaya ka yata?
Me: Nakapaglunch ako eh.
Mom: Yun lang? Wag mo ko lokohin ah.
Me: Sige na, naglunch na kami ni... CM...
Mom: Sabi na eh. So, saya ka?
Me: Badtrip lang.

End of Part 9

This love story lasted 4 years, 5 months, 1 week, which actually just finished a few days back. Wala na nga lang munang spoiler. Part 9 only covered 8 months. I'm not sure if I'd finish it, though. I have a busy schedule. Still, if you want the subsequent parts, I shall do my best to write it for you. Sorry if I had limited pictures. Nauubusan na nga ako. Kaya lang, wala tayong magagawa dyan eh. I may still try to give some of her images in the following parts for the sake of writing and the readers' visual pleasure (though she might really hate me more for this). My Facebook friends, though, could try search who CM really is. Just don't be cocky about it without my consent.

Most importantly, I needed the feedback. Thank you in advance.

Have a happy December ahead!
