[POTUS] State of the Union - Day 2470

Day 2,470, 13:36 Published in USA USA by dmjohnston

eAmerica, always on fire lately.

Mood Music: I bought a kite.

Ever since we reached out current 100/100/80 bonus level, it’s been a fight to keep it. Having resource regions in 4 different countries makes it difficult. This past weekend, we began an operation to reset the determination in our Cuban rental regions, as well as to provide them with additional seats in their Congress. Our National Security council had a plan in place, down to the minute, that would minimize our loss of bonuses during the transition. As often happens, plans were forced to change.

The initial Cuban Resistance War started in the wrong region. Another nation forced our hand in the Natural Enemy law process. Other Resistance Wars in our bonus regions opened, including the costly Mexican rental in Baja. With the lack of other battles ongoing at the time, our region resets also drew additional enemy damage in attempts to undermine our plans. We fought for our regions in Mexico, Japan, France, and Cuba, at times against Argentinian Combat Orders for the opposing side.

Despite all the opposition, eAmerica rose triumphant once again. Thanks to the overwhelming cooperation of our nation’s military, USAF, and the private MUs, the National Security Council was able to direct damage where it was most needed, alongside Combat Order payouts to offset where needed. The result is that we are now back to 100/100/80 as expected, albeit it a day early, and we are again poised to assist our allies wherever the need arises, like in Russia this morning, where the Romanian attack was summarily dismissed without argument.

During all of this, the Cuban government has been very helpful in finding the best way to handle the situation to keep both of our nations out of trouble and continue the relationship we have sought to improve over the last two months.

The State Department recently announced the return of the Ambassador program, yet another great way to get involved in government and stay active in eRepublik. The wheels of the administration are turning, eAmerica. Hop on the bus.

Be sure to take a look at the Daily Press Briefings for a daily look at what the government is up to and to provide feedback.

Dio bless you, and Dio bless the eUnited States of America.
