[OOP] Moving Forward

Day 1,945, 22:41 Published in South Africa USA by Champinator

Hello eSA and Open Opportunity Party.

Thank you for voting me as Party President of the Open Opportunity Party. I have a few matters to address:

1. Stop calling the Open Opportunity Party OOPS. There is no S-word at the end of our name. It is just OOP. Sorry to burst your bubbles. Maybe we can come up with an S-word to tack on.

2. Party politics is dead and has been for a long time. The purpose of parties now is to come together as people of similar ideas and goals and basically just discuss them. Parties literally cannot do anything. There is no advantage of being in one party compared to another. You do it for the people in them. The camaraderie. Sure we vote for a party for Congress candidates, but that gives no meaning to Congress. It is simply poll to see which party has the most active candidates to vote for their party. This still leaves us with no purpose for parties.

3. How can I make parties matter? I can't.

4. How can I make OOP matter? OOP was founded on the belief that we would accept anyone with open arms and aid them in their journey up the political or military latter. That will be my main focus as PP. Already, I have had a couple new citizens send me messages about how they can get involved. Look to our forums very soon (like tomorrow) kiddos. I will be rolling out some paths these young'ns can follow. There is an obvious lack of leaders in this country and I think OOP members can fill that void. I have been PP of past parties that have churned out leaders like a baby shits. I want OOP to be another one of those golden parties. I know we can be, and I see some eager newbies knocking on the gates.

5. What's your party's stance on certain issues such as the economy, foreign affairs, PTO stuff, etc.? Our economy sucks, we need to stick close to our best friends and pursue some new friendships that offer some long term benefits, PTOers suck and hopefully Grim resorts to past plans that were proven to work (past as in like over a year ago). These are my views by the way. As I said before, party politics are done. There's no point in our party having concrete views. General views are okay, and I'm sure we can work something out to publish and show to everybody.

6. OOP will not have a membership number goal. I prefer quality over quantity. We will have the most active, hardest working, smartest, most influential citizens eSA has ever seen. I don't care if it's just five of us. For a time, the NPSA consisted of literally just Tenshibo, Shiloh, Seisan, Stryke, me and maybe one or two other influential people such as samgibz or MrWet. That's not very many people. But we ran the country.

Again, thank you for the votes. I look forward to a great term.
