Back on the Job, Full Time

With the Presidential election over, I’m out of a job over at the Media Department, and I must say I am relieved. It was great to partner once again with Old Fu-k Congresswoman Melissa Rose, and we recruited Young Old Fu-k Catsch73 to handle the Pony Express.
I’m very proud of the work we did, low article votes notwithstanding.

But now I have just eight days to either prove my worth as your Party President, or take my place as a proud OhFU member under new leadership. Let’s see if I we can accomplish something worthwhile for the Party in that time.

About that POTUS Election

I'd like to go over a couple of points regarding the POTUS election-- namely, the initial power of Old Fu-ks, even beyond our ranks, in a national election.

The last thing I wanted to do was to be a spoiler, especially if it meant keeping rainy sunday out of the White House. In the final count, only 53 votes separated rainy and Deepchill, and I had 49. Clearly, not all 49 who voted for me would have voted for rainy-- we really can't say this would have been a 4-vote margin had I dropped out.

I got twice as many votes as we had members on election day. I voted for rainy, as did other OhFU members who shared with me who they voted for. So more than half of my votes came from outside the OhFU.

After an initial big bump in article votes when the OhFU series started, this newspaper has settled into a groove of garnering between 15 and 30 per article. Subtract the 300 votes bought for the Endorsement article and that’s a 30, and some of that only because the bought votes put it in the Top 5. So let’s generously say that 25 or so people look at this paper, on average.

We have some less-than-active OhFU members-- they’re not all voting my articles, so someone outside the Party must be.
Not all OhFU members voted for me in the election, so someone out there must have.

Does this mean there are way more than twice our current active number out there somewhere who believe in our cause?
Does this mean there are 25 or more old fu-ks out there just waiting to become Old Fu-ks?

Could be.. could be..
Let’s see what we can do to turn them around, and get that many more interested.

Action Speaks

We have two things to do, and it’ll take the same action to accomplish both.

Our objectives:
: 1 : Increase Old Fu-ks United Party membership.
::: Higher membership could result in more Congressional candidacies.
: 2 : Gather Donations for the next round of the OhFU SCAM.
::: We need to be ready to rock when Plato puts Companies and Upgrades on sale.

We need to develop, beyond “the Committee” listed at the bottom of this edition, a group of old fu-ks and Old Fu-ks who’ll undertake a search for older eUS players, and contact them directly via game mail.
We can compose a nice letter, and use a GDoc to track who’s been contacted, etc..

Meanwhile, I’m not averse to a bit of “freelancing,” in that I’m welcome to anyone contacting every old fu-k on their Friends list with a nice note directing them to this article.
Here's probably the easiest way to reach out and touch an old fu-k.

Any way we do it, “getting the word out” is what we gotta do. It ain’t gonna happen by itself, and I don’t want to do it alone. So drop me a line, let me know you’re on board for this, and we’ll get right to work.

If you’re an old fu-k but not an Old Fu-k, you’re doing it wrong.

Join the hardest rockin’ Party in America, and proudly tell 'em all, "Oh, F.U.!"
