"Oboacer PnPP Manifesto: Party Reform"

Day 2,817, 12:11 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by Oboacer

Greeting my fellow eKiwis and PnPP party members,

Today I'm releasing my manifesto article on the proposed political reforms that I want to carry out to the Peace 'n' Prosperity Party (PnPP). Please know that if elected I will consider my victory a mandate to implement these reforms to the party.

My goal is to ensure that as we grow, as activity returns to eNZ, that the PnPP has the people, capabilities and organization to ensure that it not only provides opportunities for its members but that it enables them to contribute to the wider NZ community and the eRepublik community as well.

So without delay here are my proposals

Firstly I will be proposed actual roles for the new party leadership. Individuals who seek to hold these positions will be expected to carry out some activity for the party and I would ask that they consider them before apply.

Party President
-This role will be the only directly elected within the party and will be charged with appointing the leadership, approving the CP candidate and the final Congressional party-list
-All major inter-party negotiations will be handled by the PP and their decision will be the final choice of the party

Secretary General
-This position will entail likely the most work and will be charged with the daily management of the party membership. Notably working towards recruitment, posting regular party updates and ensuring that all issues raised by party members are brought before the party leadership
-They will also, in conjunction with the Party President, organize the party's election campaign and ensure that members vote in Congressional and Presidential contests.
-They will also work with the Party President to negotiate any joint Presidential candidates with the other parties as well

Vice President
-This position will serve mostly as an honorary role and the individual appointed to it will be expected to take over the duties of Party President in the event that they cannot function due to RL issues

Councillor
-This post will be held by a PnPP member who is currently serving in the NZ Congress and will therefore be the main figure associated with our party's Congressional delegation.
-The primary role of the Councillor will be to ensure Congressional proposals are coordinated (or forward to the Dictator) and that they coordinate joint support with other parties Congressional groups

Spokesman
-This position will act as the party's official media profile and post one article a week on the PnPP. They are also charged with posting in the media and the in-game message feed about candidates we are running, events, and other items our party has taken a stance on.
-The Party President can also act as the spokesman as well but it would be preferable to delegate to another member.

For now these position will entail the PnPP leadership and act as the main hierarchy of the party. The goal is to help spread out the responsibility within the party and give members more input into how the party operates. The goal is to make sure everyone, all members, feel that they can be part of the team and contribute.

I have also decided that I will be changing the party's official ideology if elected as Party President. Once again, because I'm making this promise now, I will accept my victory as a mandate to carry out this change.

It needs to be understood that within eNZ politics, ideology, has never counted for much among the various political parties. The PnPP, is no exception and while we did once adhere to ideology, that is no longer the case and it hasn't been for some time.

This is why I will seek to retain our current ideology of centrist but will remove the anarchist and replace it with libertarian. Mostly because our party is respectful of the membership and seeks to not impose its own beliefs but instead harness the wide variety that is included within our party.

The final reform I will be seeking to implement involves daily communication with the party membership. It will be expected that the Party President will post daily commentary or updates in the in-game message feed and also in the message chat that I have created.. Communication with the membership is critical if the PnPP is to grow and to ensure that all our members feel like they are part of the team and have a direct impact on the decisions of this party.

It is my hope that the communication will embody members to take an active stance in the party, to offer their views on a wide range of NZ issues and to ensure that any ideas they have for the party or for NZ can be put to the whole membership and most importantly discussed and acted upon.

Now this is only the ideas for party reform and I will be releasing another manifesto that outlines my intentions on how the PnPP will engage with the wider NZ political community and most importantly the military/political role it will play under the dictatorship.

I hope all members will read these, discuss the ideas being put forward and consider supporting me for Party President on August 15th.

Much thanks!

Sincerely,
Oboacer,
PnPP General Secretary
