[MoRC] State Lottery with doubled prize pool!

Beste burgers,
Vandaag maak je kans op een mooie som NLG zonder daar iets voor te hoeven doen! (Of bijna niets...) Het Ministerie van Recruitment & Coaching presenteert daarvoor deze eenvoudige Staatsloterij. Als het een succes is, komen er in de toekomst zeker meerdere!
De spelregels zijn eenvoudig:
1. Alleen eNederlandse burgers kunnen aan deze loterij deelnemen.
2. Je neemt deel via een donatie op dit artikel tijdens de 48 uur dat het in de media is. De hoeveelheid van je donatie doet er niet toe. Je koopt automatisch één ticket.
2.1 Als je wilt doneren zonder deel te nemen, kun je dat laten weten in een reactie.
2.2 Het Ministerie van Recruitment & Coaching en de President zijn automatisch van deelname uitgesloten, maar uiteraard niet van doneren.
3. De totale inkomst aan donaties gaat in de prijzenpot, die wordt verdubbeld door de regering!
4. Van de deelnemende namen wordt een willekeurige lijst gemaakt en de prijzen worden als volgt verdeel

De 1e speler ontvangt 30% van de totale prijzenpot
De 2e speler ontvangt 20%
De 3e speler ontvangt 10%
De 4e speler ontvangt 10%
De 5e tot 10e spelers ontvangen ieder 5%

Dear citizens,
Now is your chance to win a nice amount of NLG without doing anything! (Or nearly nothing…) The Ministery of Recruitment & Coaching presents to you this very easy State Lottery. If it’s a succes, you can be sure there will be plenty more in the future!
The rules are simple:
1. Only eDutch citizens can participate in this lottery.
2. You participate by endorsing this article during the 48 hours this article is in the media. The amount of NLG you endorse does not matter. You automatically buy yourself one ticket.
2.1 If you want to endorse but not participate, just say so in a comment.
2.2 The Ministry of Recruitment & Coaching and the Country President automatically do not participate but they may endorse of course.
3. The total amount of endorsements goes into the price-pool, which will be doubled by the government!
4. All participating names will be randomized into a list and prizes will be divided as follows:
The 1st player receives 30% of the total prize-pool
The 2nd player receives 20%
The 3rd player recevies 10%
The 4th player receives 10%
The 5th to 10th players receive 5% each

Let me get this right; No matter how much I endorse I can take 30% of the total amount endorsed + doubling of gov?
Thats like "De Staatsloterij" pays you full prices no matter if you bougt a full price ticket or a ticket at 1/5th the price which normally pays 1/5th of the price....
So why would anyone pay a full endorsement then? My win ratio is 5 times as big if I only endorse 5cc...
No. If everyone endore with only 5NLG the price will be 5 times as low when everyone endorse 25NLG. So its not about winning, or win ratio, its about the ammount of money you can win 🙂
Sure enough; The more players endorse the more the price money will be.
The fact however you could win the same price with endorsing 5cc as you can when endorsing 25 is rather strange. Someone endorsing 5cc should win 20% of the price pool I'd say. Someone endorsing 10cc should win 40% and someone endorsing 25 should win it all.
The money remaining moves to the next lottery or, as alternative, there will be another drawing about the remaining money where the same 20, 40 and 100% apply. Continue until the price pool is empty, which will only happen when someone wins who endorsed 25cc.
This strange issue was precisely the reason I didn't endorse right away as it's, imo, rather ridiculous this way...
You are completely right Daan. 😉 You're chances do not get higher if you endorse more, but the total prize-pool will. As this is the Ministry of Recruitment and Coaching, we wanted to make this Lottery more attractive to younger players with less money. Normally you would be able to buy 1, 2 or 5 tickets with 5, 10 or 25 NLG, but that would mean that the more you could spend, the more you could win and that's not what we wanted. 😉
As you can see, a lot of people are participating with 25 NLG, this is great because it makes the prize-pool larger for those who have less money, whom are equally welcome to take part in the game! \o/
Please consider participating with 5, 10 or 25 NLG. It would be great if even more people took part! 😉
@Weekstrom: It's not that ridiculous really. 😉 This Lottery was originally intended for young players between level 1 and 30, though everyone could endorse to make the prize pool larger. Unfortunately, we don't that many young players in our country (which has to change! 😛) so we decided to make the lottery available to everyone while at the same time making it more interesting for younger players.
It still would be Mattio, even if you used price distribution my way because paying 20% of the price would still mean 20% of the total price pool, including all the 25cc endorsements. It would even be possible to help more young players as you would end up with potentially more winners 😉
