1* Tell Me About Yourself.

I'm a bloke from Milan (Italy), in his early thirties and single (ladies, do the math 😉 ).
My great-grandfather was a conman travelling all the country's fairs of northern Italy trying to sell a miraculous remedy for every kind of illness known and unknown at the time. It was not until the time of my grandpa that the family converted to a more respectable business: founding a pharmaceutical company.
My family is still running that business nowadays and at the moment we are under pressure to produce immunostimulants for the coronavirus outbreak.

2* What made you think about Asteria SG position and how was the climb to there?

I didn't think of being nominated SG at all in the beginning, but Asteria needed some new faces and maybe new energies at the forefront of the alliance. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.
Or, if you believe in conspiracies, Asterian Big Shots were so sure the Alliance would have survived so none of them wanted a particular limelight of himself in so dire moments.

3* Why do you think u deserve SG position ?

I don't mind how I arrived in this position, but let's look at the alliance accomplishments during my mandate...we made a u turn that few people would have considered possible just 6 months ago.
Results are why I'm still legitimate to hold this position.

4* Sell yourself, why should asteria follow you?

Cause I'm handsome! Have you seen zdlemmy? Or MaM? Or, god forbid, Colin?...jokes aside, no one can do everything by himself and my major ability has been to surround myself with capable people and make them work together.
Charisma is hard to explain but easy to follow, and I am charismatic. And modest too!

5* What was your greatest achievement in that position? and worst?

Well holding the alliance together without any major detection or single sided NAP was my greatest achievement in the last year. We can make a comparison with Code now, where is everyone for himself trying to escape the sinking boat.
My greatest shortcoming could be the inability to make some medium-big countries to switch side to our favour. Yes we are winning but look at how many countries we need to keep wiped in the coming months...we will be up to the task? Only time will tell.

6* How do you see Asteria in the next months?

Hard to say it: the big plans created years in advance never work and at best they are built later, rewriting the story from the winner's point of view. Too many variables, too many sudden changes, too much ignorance about the future and the present. The great politicians and strategists boast, in retrospect, of great plans developed with the precision of a watch, but behind it lies a much larger capacity, although more difficult for the masses to appreciate: that of deciding from time to time, without any big plan that unravels one step at a time.

7* Imagine you were Plato for a hole year, what yould u do? Any real tip for plato to improve the game, having in mind this is a business and he needs also income to mantain it?

I'll keep it running till profitable then I'll shut it down sending an email to everyone saying "In a week we are launching eRepublik Mobile, to greet you in the new new world here's a redeemable code that will give the amazing reward of 20 q7 weapons and 5 EBs! (valid only for 24 hours from the first access)".
Actually, there's a copy of eRepublik on the play store and it's doing pretty well, so a new erep mobile isn't so difficult to imagine.
But again, if you watch the mobile games erep labs are churning out nowadays you shouldn't have much hope in their business model...they are just copies of the same town building simulation, bugged ones as well.
With a bit more of entrepreneurial spirit they could just retain the core of eRepublik (nationalism and ethnic hate) and add it to a more successful skeleton of mobile gaming. Like a rip off of Clash Royale but with a map of the world and monthly election for CP e Congress. They could even branch out in medieval times with a rip off of Clash of Clans. If you copy at least copy from the smartest kid in the class, but what can you expect from a management that got themselves banned from the Chinese market just at the dawn of the Chinese mobile wave?
