Have you ever farted so strong that you that you made hole in the wall?
Of course not, but these people did more than that.
He-Gassen (Japanese: 屁合戦, literally: "Fart battle") is a Japanese art scroll created during the Edo period(1603 – 186😎 by an unknown artist or several unknown artists.
The scroll depicts various scenes with one peculiar characteristic reoccurring throughout the scroll, men and women shooting noxious blasts of gas towards other men, women, and animals (including a cat!). Seemingly, the force of the farts is so great that it the targets turn topsy-turvy when hit.

In order to avoid deleting of the article I marked the private parts with red.

Apparently, similar drawings were used to ridicule westerners towards the end of the Edo period, with images depicting the westerners blown away by Japanese farts.
The scroll(read right to left) has been digitized by the Waseda University Library.

Well, this is something I didn't need to know in my (e)life xDD I guess hundreds of years of isolation did made their mark to the japanese way of thinking what is fun and interesting to do, so they make up some pretty questionable hobbies to say/call them at least xD

I doubt that that was actually doing in Edo
There are many theories why this scroll was written and one of them is like I wrote at the end of the article, the other: "The scroll was made with the intention to highlight the political and social changes in Japan."
Anyway the scroll is far beyond funny, collecting it in a bag than releasing it and ruining houses and stuff

Well, the Japanese are among the most funny kinds of people I know about on this globe. I doubt there are many countries that knows how to create more weird fun than Japan. I mean, I don't know of one other country where you can walk around with a dildo-hat and people won't even care about it, just maybe laugh a bit xD
