We here at the Irish Community are happy that there has been quite a bit of interest lately in Ministry events. We are trying some new ideas and some old ones with some changes implemented from lessons learned in the past.

So we here at the MoC are happy to announce the second season of the eIrish Football League.

In the inaugural season FC Faustian defeated Gormley’s Rebels to win the Irish Cup after a close season.

This season we hope for another great contest.

There will be a few changes to how the league will work this season.

But what we need from you if you want to participate is

1. A team name.
2. Team color. (Black, Blue, Cyan, Green, Purple, Red or Yellow.)
Multiple teams can have the same color.
3. A home city for your team.

Then for each game you play you need to pick a number.

Here is how it will work.

Once we have all the teams that want to participate we will create a message thread with all the participants. Before each game each team will/player will choose a number. We will be using the Irish Stock Exchange (ISEQ) as the random number generator. So your number will be your guess as to what percentage the market increased or decreased for the day. So once you submit your number we will take the percentage that the exchange went up or down and compare it to your number.
If your guess is within 10 points of the percentage then you score a goal.
If your guess is within 5 points of the percentage you score 2 goals.
If your guess is spot on then you score 3 goals.

The most goals wins of course.

Simple.

So once all the games have been played each day then the standings for the day will be posted.

How many games there will be in the season depends on how many teams enter the contest.

The team with the best record will be the champion.
In the event of two teams with the same record the number of goals scored in the season will decide the winner.
If after that there are still two teams with the same record a championship playoff will be held with the same rules as during the season.

The winner of the season will win 2500 IEP.
Second place will win 500 IEP.
