(JOTUS) There Anyone Out There Cause It's Getting Harder and Harder to Breathe?

Day 1,806, 00:20 Published in USA USA by Jon Malcom

Dear America and Rick Von Ruger, (This song gives us the title)

Is there anyone out there? Out in this weird game where we fight our turf wars when the enemy just takes our turf? Where our friends to the North are getting attacked?
What is our purpose? Why are we still playing?

One wor😛 Community.

That's why we play this silly game, it's why I've just started a new super thread with some new people. The last thread went over a 1000+ PM's with some great folks.
We play for the community, we play for the friends, and for the good times. Aren't friends amazing? One minute they see us down and the next we're already laughing at the jokes they crack. (I know I make a lot of Rick Von Ruger jokes but he's actually an awesome guy who writes hilarious articles.)

We have friends and we have enemies don't we? The majority of Americans agree the AFA is an enemy don't they? This paper is called Voice of America for a reason fyi. Because I know you, I know how you think, and I know how you feel about your country. Because I am you. Deep down inside I am you.
I actually do feel your pain, I get your struggles, and your anger.

We are the same you and I. And if I ever forget that please remind me and if you ever forget I'll remind you. Let's make that promise.

1. Our country is not doing truly horrible but it's not doing truly awesome either. America is like a stream, if it gets stagnant things not only look bad but they stink after awhile. We have to remove the nasty bits. It's not the freethinkers or the bukkake trolling that worries me.

It seems the current ills of America can be summed up in one wor😛 P-R-I-D-E
We are prideful, far too prideful for our own good and that's sad. I am not the best example because if we looked at me in erep you'd see my pride.

2. Leadership. I think we have some interesting management potential but some horrible leadership potential for our leaders.

Managers are important but leaders are a necessity for forward growth.
We all follow a leader, the problem is we have had some really horrible leaders in this game. Most are prideful and fuel off their accomplishments while others dwell only on their past accomplishments to crush the dreams of people wanting to try new jobs.

I don't care how important you are on some stupid in-game forum, how smart you think you are, or how much money you have in erep or RL. When I lead I pour my heart and soul into it and I don't much care what the critics say unless they are good critics.
We have managers instead, we have finger pointers and men writing out e-pink slips. We have forum dwellers and we have too many chiefs and not enough Indians. We have grudges and wounds that continue to be salted with our own tears which doesn't help the healing process.

“Leadership is an opportunity to serve. It is not a trumpet call to self-importance.”

3. We have people that can't admit they aren't good at everything. They can't understand why certain radio shows are dying while others thrived. They don't get why if they won tons of medals they can't communicate to the American people and a guy like me can get right to you by writing to you.
Shouldn't everything they touch turn to gold? Wrong!
That's not how leadership works.

Oh and my thoughts on how we handle our military these days.

"If you wish a general to be beaten, send him a ream full of instructions; if you wish him to succeed, give him a destination, and bid him conquer."

I don't have tons of medals, I am not a great congressman, nor a super soldier, nor am I awesome at forming battle plans, and I'm definitely not good at telling you all ins and outs of the tax system.
Honestly in RL I have a 8th grade education and I haven't spent a day in college.

I can write to you, read your articles, and I can do one thing most of the current politicians can't do.

Be honest.

I can honestly tell you I am not great at everything and I don't want to be. If you spend your time on all the things you aren't great at maybe you'll be mediocre at the end of your life. If you spend all your time on the things you are great at you'll be awesome at the end of your life.

I guess what I am saying is that sometime this year or next year I am going to run for President of the United States of eAmerica. I will try to pick a good cabinet, try some new things, and most of all I want to have fun with it. I want to establish us as a strong confident nation, I want us to not be nearly as divided, no more backroom deals with picking "Unity" candidates either. Because that whole process has brought nothing but the opposite of unity.
I need you behind me. Remember this “If you think you're leading and no one is following you, then you're only taking a walk.”

I'm Jon Malcom and in the future I am running for President.
You've been warned!
