[IDEA] How To Increase Our Damage And Make It Meaningful
Sambo223
Dearest Internet Friends,
I've been thinking about how a quickly declining number of active players and even lower number of active fighters affects those of us still playing. A weaker eUK makes us less likely to attract new foreign players to boost our activity and economy and gives current players less of a reason to stick around. Now this saddens me. I love the community spirit that we've build in the eUK and I don't want to see that die because the game is run by admins that can't tell the difference between their arse and their elbow. Now what should we do about it? Well instead of running around blaming each other and slagging each other off here's some random thoughts to stimulate the British fighters.
MoD Organisation
I forget who wrote it but the other day their was an article about how the MoD is a pointless job at the moment and they were correct. All the MoD does now is set orders that they normally have no input over. That's a bit boring and definitely one of the main factors as to why orders aren't been published as much. What I suggest we do is create a mass message between the top 5 MU commanders and the MoD and the 6 of them actively decide on orders throughout the day. This means that:
1. The MoD feels their work is being appreciated and people are interacting
2. Our top 5 MUs have to have active Commanders, so this benefits our fighters. There is also no excuses for fighters not knowing the the correct orders as not only will in be in the media but their own commanders helped come up with the orders.
3. We can see which MUs aren't pulling their weight in effective fighting and we can look to move those fighters into the national MU
4. More minds looking at where we are fighting and how we do it means we can find new ways to tackle our enemies and have more effective strategy.
5. It's something new and different I guess.
Grabbing Peoples Attention
Now this is a little bit like call to arms which I believe is coming back this term. But in call to arms people sign up and then either don't fight or don't fight in the right place and there's nothing to regulate this. My idea is too have a call to arms where instead of people posting asking for weapons they fight first in the place the MoD sets as an order and then posts proof of this in the comments. Then they can be paid for their work. More weapons for every 25kills or something along those lines. The prizes also need to be worth fighting for. The MoD should also be looking to run other competitions to attract fighters, weekly raffles, prizes to the most damage in each division each week etc etc. Let's reward those fighting hard and in the right place.
I broke all my damage PBs this week (gimme prizes
😉)
I think that's everyone in this ramble. If none of it made sense then I'm sorry. I'm writing this quickly in my short lunch break.
Thanks for reading, please vote and leave your thoughts in the comments.

some great points 'ere that we'll be lookin' at doin
The Commanders PM is an old idea, however if it has been stopped, it should be restarted. Good point regarding the call to arms (congress get to it 🙂).
It was done last month, with every active MU in the UK, with all commanders, second commanders and captains from those MU's.
There was an MUs PM last term, although it was used to communicate MoD orders to all the MUs, not so much to discuss what those orders should be
yeah I know about MU PMs but that's a one sided conversation. I think if we give the MUs some input they'll connect more. Give the people ownership over their actions.
From this months MoD message - "so we can give you orders and info and you can ask for questions and info.". And at the end "Any questions, feel free to ask".
It is two sided, MU's were welcome to challenge, suggest and ask questions, but no one bothered.
We even were (possibly the first) to actually describe why the orders were set, for each one, allowing people to understand and criticise whether they think that decision was a correct but, but again, no one cared.
The tanks and regular fighters already know what their doing. But the general eUK population just doesn't care enough (although I don't really blame them), so they don't bother fighting or interacting with that side of the game.
Also we had every active MU in the eUK in the last PM's (top 5 in one, the rest in another), with all commanders, second commanders and captains (at least those who would accept my friend request).
Yeah that's standard practice. But it's a one sided conversation as I've just said. I'm saying we need to encourage everyone to take ownership.
BULLET CLUB!
I love the MU PM idea.

Whos MoD this month?
FaP and Boaty with Sir Jimmy as MoD/FA

aye, not that anyone reads that though 😉
Only Woldy has the poooowwwwwwweeeeerrrrrrrr.
Give us a war that there's actually some point in laying down damage in and people will be more interested. No-one can get excited about 957 training wars and Spain getting wiped again. (Not saying I don't care about Spain getting wiped, just that when a bunch of big countries gang up on someone no amount of damage I could lay down will make the slightest difference).
So you want us to wipe sweden or something?
No, obviously Singapore.
You can grab my attention by buying me a new Infantry Kit in 13 days, when my current one expires...don't intend to buy another for some time, so no fighting from me after that 😃
" My idea is too have a call to arms where instead of people posting asking for weapons they fight first in the place the MoD sets as an order and then posts proof of this in the comments."
Why complicate things by handing out weapons and requiring proof? Didn't you know there is something called Combat Orders that allows you to pay people directly for fighting exactly where you want them to. You can even restrict the Combat Order to eUK citizens if you want to, isn't that great?
sexagenarian4MoD
I have far too much sense and real life for that
costs a f*** ton though and whenever I've been MoD it's been hard to get hold of enough money for one big battle let alone a month of them.
So handing out weapons costs nothing? CO only costs you what you set
At least with CO you know exactly how much damage you're getting in which battle.
