Join the new world

As I look over the New World I have recently come to appreciate all that we have in this tiny neck of the world. We are a small population (only 139 citizens) at last count, we a friendly community (few people have ever not felt welcomed in our lands), we are one that has some of the strongest hitters in the New World (we take pride in our MU's) and we are a nation that lets its citizens decide their own future.

It is this final point that I'm most proud of and wanted to raise with the people. When I last looked at the country profiles, I was astonished at how many dictatorships exist and I took great pride in knowing that eNZ was not one of those, that we truly are one of the few lands of freedom.



Democracy isn't perfect, far from it. But in this tiny nation of ours, we should take great pride that we are allowed to choose our Country President and that when have regions, we are able to elect our own Congress. This is something that many eNations do not have the ability to perform.

Our nation may be small and our political parties are tiny, but people in our lands have a direct voice in government and a direct say in who they want to lead us. It hasn't been easy but when we voted in the last CP election, we had the chance to choose the next leader of our country and regardless of outcome, we accepted it and knew that we had a choice.

Too many eNations do not have that option and we as eKiwis should take great pride in all that came about from the 2015 NZ Democratic Revolution. We did not endure that civil conflict to just sit back, let a single figure tell us what is to be done or the direction we are to take. We stood up for our nation, we cooperated together and we brought democracy back to eNZ.



What we must do now is unite, like our mighty RL Rugby team (which continues to show the world who truly owns this sport) we need to unite together and help take pride in the freedom that exists within our shores. We are a small island (one without regions on many occasions) but we are an island who can choose its future and direction...we are an island free of dictatorship.

To all eKiwis, I say take always remember our past, take pride in what we have accomplished and look to the future as a nation who has shown that it believes that the ones who should lead it, are those who have the vote. We are not a dictatorship...we are an island of freedom...we will protect it and will take great pride in it.
