Şehzade Mustafa

I'll write about one Ottoman Sehzade (prince) who dead 500 years ago.



Sehzade Mustafa was born 1515. in Manisa and dead 1553. in Konya , his father is sultan Suleiman the Magnificent and mother Mahidevran (spring rose).
He was the first-born son and therefore the heir apparent to the throne, but his father, according to some historians, was more interested in his younger brothers Mehmet and Selim (Sultan Selim II.)

Mustafa was managed in Manisa 1533 - 1541 , Manisa is most important sanjak in the Ottoman Empirie.
Mustafa was transferred to Amasya.



Mustafa had supprot in the Janissaries and in the people.

Suleiman's favorite Roxelana she wanted some of her sons to become sultan, however, plotted against Mustafa. First we solve Mustafa's great friend Ibrahim Pasha Pargali and later his servant Rustem Pasha led the place of the grand vizier.
Rustem Pasha and Hurem Sultana with defaming the young prince and they forged a letter in which Mustafa asks for help Persian Sah Tahmpas I.
Sultan Suleiman view this message and he go on Pesrian campaign.
In the Konya he invited Mustafa and he come in tent.



In the tent they killed him deaf and dumb executioners
