Dear Cititzens!

There is some turmoil in our country and people are unsure what to think. So I will try to bring some light to the situation

Our Position



eAustria lies in the middle of eEurope and thus has an important strategically position. We lie in the path for any advance from N to S or from E to W (and vice versa). We are neighboured by strong nations like eGermany, eSlovenia and eHungary (all Phoenix) while other Nations like ePoland and eCroatia (both EDEN) are only one region away. In the past both factions abused our weakness and marched through our territory if the thought it’s necessary and there is no reason why this should change. eAustria will always be in the way of somebody.

Our Resources

Not only has our position made eAustria vulnerable to attacks but also our high grain in Lower Austria. With ePoland and eSlovania we have two countries from both factions who would love to control a high region even if it’s ‘only’ grain. So also economic considerations might lead to an attack.

Our Weakness

Yes this is not a popular topic but eAustria is in fact a weak nation. Especial considering that 11 of the 15 biggest nations are located in eEurope.
Here you can see an overview on the population worldwide ( source ). As you can see eAustria ranks 56th out of 60. Fact is that every single of our neighbour is stronger than us.

Our Alternatives

Basically we have two choices. We could stay neutral like we did for quite a while. The problem: there is no UNO which enforces the safety of neutral countries and thus we used to be a pawn in the hands of the alliances. If we were successful with this choice has to be debated…

The other choice is to join an alliance. Fact is the world is divided into 2 blocks: EDEN and Phoenix. If we join EDEN people favouring Phoenix will rant and call us traitors. If we join Phoenix the same will happen. It is my believe that we can not make everybody happy and it’s also my believe that we don’t have to. A tough decision has to be made and people will disagree no matter what.

Is it risky? Yes, it is. But we can be invaded because we did nothing or we can be invaded because we did something. What do you prefer?

Liebe Bürger!

Zurzeit gibt es in unserem Land eine große Unruhe und niemand weiß so recht was er davon halten soll. Daher möchte ich versuchen ein wenig Licht in die Sache zu bringen.


Unsere Position



eÖsterreich liegt in der Mitte von eEuropa und befindet sich daher in einer wichtigen strategischen Position. Wir liegen auf dem Weg für jeden Vorstoß von N nach S oder E nach W (und umgekehrt). Zudem haben wir starke Nachbarn wie etwa eDeutschland, eSlovenien und eUngarn (alle Phoenix) während andere starke Nationen wie ePolen und eKroatien (beide EDEN) nur eine Region entfernt liegen. In der Vergangenheit haben beide Seiten unsere Situation ausgenutzt und sind durch unser Gebiet marschiert wenn es in ihrem Interesse lag und es gibt keinen Grund anzunehmen dass sich das ändern wird. eÖsterreich wird immer jemandem im Weg sein.

Unsere Resourcen

Nicht nur unsere Position mach eÖsterreich verwundbar sondern auch unser High Grain in Niederösterreich. Mit ePolen und eSlovenien haben wir zwei Ländern von beiden Seiten die gerne eine ‚high’ Region hätten selbst wenn es „nur“ Grain ist. Es gibt also auch wirtschaftliche Überlegungen die zu einem Angriff führen könnten.

Unsere Schwäche

Ja, dies ist kein populäres Thema. Aber eÖsterreich ist nun mal eine schwache Nation was noch dadurch verstärkt wird, dass 11 der 15 größten Nationen in eEuropa liegen.
Hier seht ihr eine Grafik mit der Verteilung der weltweiten Bevölkerung ( Quelle ). Wie du sehen kannst sind wir auf Platz 56 von 60 und es ist eine Tatsache dass jeder einzelne unserer Nachbarn stärker ist.

Unsere Alternativen

Im Grunde gibt es nur zwei. Wir könnten neutral bleiben so wie wir das für eine ganze Weile sind. Das Problem: es gibt hier keine UNO die unsere Neutralität beschützen würde wodurch wir zum Spielball der Allianzen werden. Ob dieser Weg als erfolgreich bezeichnet werden kann muss noch entschieden werden…

Die andere Möglichkeit ist einer der Allianzen beizutreten. Es ist eine Tatsache dass die Welt in 2 Blöcke eingeteilt ist: EDEN und Phoenix. Falls wir EDEN beitreten werden sich Leute die Phoenix bevorzugen aufregen und uns als Verräter beschimpfen. Falls wir Phoenix beitreten werden die anderen rufen. Es ist meine Überzeugung dass wir niemals alle glücklich machen können und es ist genauso meine Überzeugung, dass wir das auch nicht tun müssen. Eine schwere Entscheidung muss getroffen werden und es wird immer Leute geben die nicht damit einverstanden sind.

Ist es riskant? Natürlich. Aber wir können überfallen werden weil wir nichts machen oder weil wir etwas machen. Was ist dir lieber?
