[DankChronic] My Return - About Me

Day 2,714, 11:40 Published in Japan Japan by DankEvergreen

Hello, my name is DankChronic, one of the oldest eJapanese citizens today. I first started when eRepublik was in beta, invite only, in early 2008. I usually don't care to take part in beta games, but I had a friend that was quite insistent at the time, so I took his invite. During this time there were mayor elections, no war module, no citizenship (no immigration module), and plenty of missing nations that exist today in-game. I stuck around during beta for a couple of months, but eventually decided to step away and rejoin when v1 was released. Unfortunately when I decided to return to the game after v1 was released I had lost my login info and was forced to create this citizen and start anew.

Why I chose Japan
I thought joining my RL nation in eRepublik would be boring, plus I have always enjoyed learning about various cultures around the world. So, I thought I would join eJapan, even though I didn't have much hope as I wouldn't be able to learn much if I couldn't read/speak the same language. To my surprise though, eJapan had very little to no RL Japanese, instead I found a unique community I have yet to find anywhere else in eRepublik (though I've never really left eJapan). eJapan is a melting pot of people from all over the world with one thing in common, our love and joy of learning about Japanese culture. Sure, I can't deny many were introduced to this interest through anime, but that doesn't mean their interests stop there, it was simply a gateway for some. The citizens of eJapan are always looking to learn many aspects of Japanese culture, its history, food, pop culture, architecture, and everything in between. This caused the community to become very close, we did happen to share many interests while learning from one another about RL Japan. With all that and the unanimously chosen language of English for this community, it was an absolute perfect fit and I have never left since. I have been in eJapan for every conflict, every battle, for every game update, through the golden age and the current dark age, I have never once changed my citizenship when the immigration module was released, nor will I ever go anywhere else in this eWorld, eJapan is and always will be my eHome.

My focus in eJapan
My main focus in eJapan has always been and will be the preservation and defense of eJapan's unique culture and community, with most of my work and activity being in the Ministry of Culture & History (now MoCHE). I also take part in congress often, along with some experience in other programs and ministries such as the Ministry of Defense and the Senpai/Kohai program. As I return I hope to continue with my usual work, focusing on the MoCH, Congress, and my political Party the Imperial Sun Party (ISP). As some of you will probably notice the lack of medals, I can't say I'm compelled to go to war at every corner, I only take part when it comes to the defense of eJapan and the support of our allies, but only if I can fight without leaving eJapan. I don't like leaving eJapan.

Recent Events - Dictatorship & PTO Colony
I've been on a long break so I'm still working out the details, but it seems the PTOers that were around before I went on break has finally let slip the fact that they are indeed creating a Serbian Colony. They continue to avoid answering all the hard questions, surrounding them with lies as they always have, continueing to oppress and destroy the community and culture that was established here YEARS before they even looked in eJapan's direction. Of course not all Serbian's are PTOers, I can't deny that there may be some that legitimately would like to join eJapan's community, and I welcome them, but the oppression and destruction the PTOers cause, needs to stop. eJapanese citizens just might need to create a dictatorship to keep the PTOers out of politics and prevent them from selling their votes and citizen passes as corrupt politicians do. Their multis and voting bribery is too corrupt for us to fight back without force. However, doing so, on top of the fact that they have now admitted to forming a PTO Colony, will lead them to start their own dictatorship battles. I ask, do not get confused, find out the facts, and fight for the side of eJapan's freedom from the PTOers.

No Longer 2-Clicking
I write this article to mark my return after a very long and much needed break, and to introduce myself to the many new citizens of eJapan. I will begin with focusing on my political party, but I do hope to return to the MoCH in the near future. Thank you for your time, I appreciate it.

Imperial Sun Party - "We strive to be to be the forerunners of promoting the interests of eJapan; domestically and abroad. Through unity and stronger foreign relations we will expand eJapan's sphere of influence, and bring about eJapan's long overdue 2nd Golden Age."
