Ladies & Gentleman,
This is the 3rd article for my Country Presidential Election candidacy detailing the plans for this month. I hope many of these plans can meet your expectations but also can improve this month and I m happy to hear any of your suggestions and concern!
Foreign Affairs
For this month we will be revising our Foreign Affairs in order to get our FA Relations back on track especially after the eWorld in terms of Foreign Affairs has changed. Also this month we will start building relations with other countries too alongside NSPP Pact and fellow other countries we remain in contact with. This month will be no exception in talks with Hungary over the 2 regions which hopefully we can regain.
-Home Affairs
This month I vow to end this conflict shown between I&W and ReL/VN over the immigration policies affecting congress and government disputes. We will be relaxing the immigration policy for Real Life Dutch citizens however we will be taking the same approach for non real life citizens.
-Defense & Army
We will need to start Military reorganization to once again be an effective and active military. Through military reorganization we will be ready for any war or threats such as the recent Portuguese Air Strike and the failure of a Resistance War in West Netherlands. We will be restructuring our military strength, improving the National MU and helping out other Dutch MUs, fix the recent communication between D.A.F and Government and cooperation between each other. Through this reorganization we may become more effective once again and certainly prepared for any defense or attacking work alongside supporting and aiding allies through wars.
-Education
This month will be a introduction of The State Lottery which will be benefiting from Level 1 to 25. The Ministry of Education will be running articles which will be holding n lottery which citizens may purchase lottery tickets through the use of endorsements which all the money collected from the endorsements will be used to reward the winners of the lottery. This complies with the eRepublik rules and will be run once a week. Apart from the weekly lottery will be a program which is launched for our new players called ''Crash Course'' which will be articles given detailing the history and information of the Netherlands in the eWorld.
-Finance
This month we will be sitting down the MoF revising our finances including data such as our budget for this month and the budget we will have for the next coming government. Also the Finance ministry will help us get our detailed budget for projects such as the Trout Ministry.
-X/S
We see the return of the XP and Strength stats which will show the X/S of soldiers which will also help in our bid for military organization to become an effective country in terms of military and prepared for defense.
-Trout Ministry
We must have a month with fun which will include our Trout Ministry returning again with few fun games which citizens can win rewards.

Defense and Army: Bullshit.
I think DAF is doing really fine. Weekstrom and his captains are just doing an amazing job. As MoD I have close contact with DAF and also our other NL MU's too. The main problem started when there was alsmost no war to fight in. We had a prio list with country's we never have had before (oke, before 2012 we had).
In our article Defese responds: www.erepublik.com/en/article/2507724/1/20 can you read that MoD its self is doing good. Also DAF is doing good too, what we can do now is 'extra' actions to keep it alive and kicking. But reorganisation? No I dont think MoD/DAF needs that. Just make sure that there is information towards our soldiers/DAF.

There are plenty of wars to fight in, but nobody listens because "our soldiers want this or that". That's not how it happens in the RL army either.
Idk the details of that reorganization though, so I'm kind of in the middle.
Well, indeed its my opinion. But what I think is that you point something out that is related to a good organisation. DAF and MoD are doing fine but, and I tell you this on personal experience, you need a good organisation to have some good fights/wars/battles. If you can make it attractive for all soldiers to be involved in 'joint strikes' 'MoD orders' 'NL RW's' they will follow you. Just look at the first 2 rounds of the RW in WNL. If I did it a little better in organising, the RW would have started 30 minutes earlier and we had more changes to win the 2nd round in all divs too.
I am not against reorganisation, but a little improvement will do the job.
Improvement is the Key!
I don't think Arcanic means a complete reorganzation, but just to give more attention to continue the reorganization of last year. As a regiment captain I've seen we're doing better than ever, but there is still improvement needed. I have heard some promising plans, so I'm sure there is room for improvement.
DAF is doing what they should do, however we cannot give more power than we already have. Learning to use CO's properly is the answer to problems like invasions. Yes it costs some CC, but come on how often are we being invaded? We got plenty of time to build up reserves for defence actions.,

also CO's will be discussed with the MoF alongside the data for the budget of what we can spend etc.
Yes, we can use COs to help better our chances... and, on the other hand, they can also place COs against us as well. COs aren't the answer to every single defence problem...
1. DAF commanders are never on irc so cant be asked to set CO's in realtime (don't even think that ingame pm's work on the same level)
2. There is no way to get money for CO's on short notice because everyone demands damn congress votes and the money is locked inside MoF orgs to which the CP doesn't even get access.
So just put the needed money in the dictator MU so dictator and president can access easily.
Lol, @Garmr, my experience with the current DAF commander is that a ingame message is almost the same as IRC. Weekstrom got no RL he is 24/7 online 🙂
From what I see Weekstrom writing every now and then, I get the feeling he feels that he's sometimes left in the dark. I'd say there are some communication failures between the MoD, and DAF.
At the very least that is something that can be organised better.
