[AV4CP] Manifesto and Cabinet for May

Day 1,991, 05:10 Published in India Canada by Alias Vision

There is really only one thing that will count at the end of the day: a team of people willing to do some hard work together. Ultimately what sunk Hamturk was not his taunting of Pakistan to air strike us. What I believe happened is that he was essentially a one man show. Formidable though that might be, there is just too many people to talk to and events to coordinate for one person not to drop a ball or three along the way.

That being said, here is my manifesto for May.

Foreign Affairs.

The Bad News: We only have 3 MPPs. You often hear that Indians feel they are not getting enough support through those MPPs. We are not part of any alliance.

The Good News: We have 3 MPPs where three weeks ago we had none. Contrary to perception we have been getting increased support this past week. Look at the rounds we have won and each time you will find one of our allies leading the hit parade.

What does it mean: To receive, you have to give. I published an article about being a good ally earlier. We have to make a concerted effort, as a nation and as individuals, to return the military support when we have a chance. When Belarus attempted to AS Pakistan, every one of us should have been all in. Some were but not enough. There were some mitigating circumstances in that missions were active tempting people away from primary goals.

What happens going forward: To start, I would like to see our MPPs grow from three to six. The ones we currently possess will need to be renewed. That is a treasury expenditure of 60,000 cc. We will continue to be CoT friendly and CoT aligned. The New World is shifting and it is my intention to prove to the powers that be that India intends to be a player in those new dynamics.

Foreign affairs will need a lot of work. I will be using a team approach avoiding the burden of this falling on one person's shoulders. As CP, I will concentrate on national relations. The VP will concentrate on MU relations. FA specialist will be used to take full advantage of past relationships (i.e. individual citizens will be asked to coordinate with cabinet in talks with foreign agents when appropriate).

Military Affairs.

The Bad News: Occupiers like Croatia still do on average 25 times more damage than India. Four countries are currently holding core Indian regions.

The Good News: Unfortunately there isn't much good news here. Our active fighters peaked at 117 on Day 1984 but are already back down to our usual average of the mid seventies. There appears to be an influx of newer citizens lately that are willing to be active and seek advice on IRC. Those individuals are getting excellent advice and if they have the patience to stick with us, will make superb D1 and D2 fighters in the coming months. The trend is too early to confirm.

What does it mean: There is work to be done. India once had a national army (still does but not at the level it needs to be), it may be to our benefit to explore that again as a tool to properly surround younger fighters.

What happens going forward: More coordination between our MUs. This needs to happen and the sooner, the better. Some MUs attempt to self-supply, this will be encouraged. It may be possible, provided there is a sustainable plan in place, to use Government money to achieve self-supply in some MUs. Any such decision will be presented to the full Cabinet and Congress for final approval.

Citizens will be asked to become more aware of the important battles. The only way for us to find some success is with a strong group. BH medals are nice but they do not build a nation. Sacrifices will be necessary to see India whole.

Population and Baby Booms.

The Bad News: There is no magic bullet here. I wish there was. I will not promise you a baby boom because I wouldn't know how to go about achieving one beyond what has already been tried. We also have one of the smallest active populations in the New World.

The Good News: BBs do happen and in that sense we should never lose hope. There are Indians right now who are actively trying to create one. Those individuals can always count on my support going forward. And in the event we hit the jackpot on this, all of India's resources will be dedicated to making it a successful event.

What does it mean: In lieu of a BB, we need to find ways to increase our population with active individuals. We simply can't sit still and hope to close the influence gap.

What happens going forward: Groups are problematic as they will always present a threat of PTO. That being said, my Cabinet will be instructed to actively recruit individuals to augment and enrich our community. These efforts may be quite modest at first as we approach this with caution. But the efforts will be incremental and they are necessary.

There has to be consequences to aggression towards India and our ability to exact said consequences starts with our ability to integrate new, active fighters to our society.

Economy.

The Bad News: Because of population count and because of bonuses, gain and loss of regions, India barely makes enough money in a month to sustain a single MPP. Hamturk spend, by some accounts, over 200,000 cc in the initial AS by Pakistan. We were still outspent easily.

The Good News: India still has a treasury and it is healthy. The cc amounts are currently being safeguarded by Prabal while the gold remains in India's national banking org.

What does it mean: In a nutshell... what we spend, we can't replace. This doesn't mean that we should not spend, on the contrary I believe India has been too cautious in their use of the financial resources. It also means that we have to be careful with any permanent programs like dispatch and giveaways. We also can't hire mercenaries each battle round we fight.

What happens going forward: We make sure that even though a program may not be renewable, it is sustainable. We open up supplies for key battles. We prepare supplies for future use instead on relying on the whims of the market on a given day. We commit to MPPs to keep helping us build better relationships.

We also engage the population. Hamturk asked Congress to donate their gold. I have no idea what the status of that idea is but I do know that in YUUVA there was a fair amount of gold and cc donated (the final numbers are unknown to me, it would have to be confirmed by DonMogul). I floated the idea of a National Lottery system last month, I believe that should be explored once again. A position will be created as an expert investor to take advantage of our treasury to generate more wealth.

All of those little things, donations/lottery/investments, could then constitute India's operating budget. If we are very successful, we have a larger budget and we can adequately supply every fighter that needs it. If people don't buy in however, we remain as we have been.

Communication.

The Bad News: There hasn't been enough of it, period.

The Good News: Media was my first love and I have a track record of writing for the public.

What does it mean: It is all about effort. It takes time and effort to communicate effectively. I will invite Cabinet to post their thoughts as much as possible but in the final evaluation, it is the responsibility of the CP.

What happens going forward: I won't promise articles every two days or anything of that nature. Too many things can happen to take time away and we can't always anticipate the amount of work necessary just to stay afloat of personal messages. But I will promise regular articles in which I will hide very little. There are no secrets in the New World anyways and if I know something, there is usually no reason why you, the voting public, shouldn't know as well.
