[Appleby] So Mongress actually voted for public discussion x_X

Day 3,005, 08:15 Published in United Kingdom United Kingdom by Sir Humphrey Appleby

Afternoon gents o/,

Amazingly mongress has decided to shortlist devolving discussion to the community. Whilst my previous article handled the rather easy area of the main principles behind it, we now have the task of actually getting it into a proper codified form that fits the rest of the labyrinthine legal system we currently operate on...

If you'd rather just have a look at what this will actually DO then just skip to the draft public session at the end. The next bit adds a new section to my disaster of a constitution...

"Part 5: Sessions of Parliament
(will eventually replace the congressional procedure act after we’ve had a proper discussion. I expect a lot of the procedure can remain so have only included active changes to the system below)

A. The Speaker, their deputies or if both unavailable the government shall open a public Parliamentary Session via an article every 2 days.
i. To be included are: all non-sensitive proposals (bills, laws & motions), citizenship applicant information, links to government updates and the Speaker’s own legislative report/voting turnouts.
ii. All non-sensitive proposals and discussion can be made via the comments section; a sensitive proposal can be made via a message to the Speaker after gaining the minimum required level of support.
iii. Whilst only MPs retain the right to vote, all are guaranteed the right to join in the discussion on the basis of mutual respect and participation.

B. The Speaker or their deputies will also open a private message for each of the elected parliamentary parties for that monthly session of Parliament. These groups will only be used for information deemed too sensitive for public review and reminders for incoming votes. Comments will be distributed among the groups by the Speaker/their deputies."

Can’t think of anymore more beyond the obvious – I expect the parliamentary articles will look something like this (nicked the logo from ~2012 😃)
