"A Region Lost: Leadership in Question?"

Day 2,865, 18:08 Published in New Zealand New Zealand by Oboacer

Today should have been the day that party presidents put the final touches on their Congressional party lists. It is a day when members would have seen who would be their candidates and the citizens of eNZ would have seen the figures putting their name forward for office...

Instead...we have once again lost our sole region and will no longer be holding a Congressional election on this tiny island. After the great success which came about during the democratic revolution...our first chance at democracy...has now passed us by.

I do not hold any one group responsible for this but instead I look to the mirror and see the whole nation of eNZ as holding some responsibility for this. We owe it to our people, to the citizens of eNZ, to unite together, to fight together, to ensure at least one region, just one, keeps the flag flying for eNZ.

Our nation needs to ask itself a fundamental question...are we satisfied with our current leadership? Are we happy at where eNZ has become in the last few weeks?

As a concerned and active citizen I for one can say that I'am not pleased with the direction we are taking. Prior to the NZ Dictatorship and even during it, we at least had agreements to rent our regions and we could count on one region remaining in our hands for elections (mock elections, as Congress had limited power then).

Now, with democracy restored, we find ourselves without any regions and with a Country President, who has not even had the time to publish an article and offer a Cabinet to run our lands. Is this the kind of eNZ that we want?

Our nation may be small, it may be made up a wide variety of players from around the world, but it is also a nation with a proud history and a dedication to remaining relevant to the game. I hope that those who want to see eNZ remain a fun and active player will heed my call.

This header alone indicates that we need to ask ourselves some important questions about where we are going and the plans that we have for this country.

So today I'm posing a question to the citizens of eNZ and to the leaders of our fair nation. Will you stand up for our country? Will you work together to held restore a region, aid those who want to fight and assist each other in ensuring that democracy can grow and just possibly we can hold a region to take pride in it and let our citizens a little piece of this New World remains eKiwi?.

As yourself this as we think about the direction that our nation is moving in and then you can decide the kind of country that you want to see eNZ become in the future.

These are just my thoughts...the real question is...what are yours?

Sincerely,
Oboacer
