Here's something to set the mood. *

That ^ right there is absolutely fantastic....
We've come to the point now when our months of work have paid off. Let's go through the checklist, shall we?
- AFA has been taken from Ajay
- PTO voting power is a fraction of what it was
- Multiple candidates can run for CP without fear
- The Top 5 is secure
And most importantly, Unity is dead
A good portion of this victory is due to those who have run ATO over the last few months. People such as Kody5, Josh Frost, Blondeninja, Jefferson locke, and everyone that took the time to party jump and vote for the official candidates. This victory was a long time in the making, and could not have been accomplished without each and every one of you.
Now, in unity's aftermath, we have some new things to worry about. First of all, our collective mindset has been ATO-centric for so long, that I don't think any of us know how to run a country normally anymore. While fighting off the PTO, other things have suffered.
Let's be honest, things have fallen off during the reign of unity... Our country is wiped, our military can't compete with TWO, nearly every eUS "social program" is closed, USAF activity is at an all time low, Communication between government and non-government entities has decayed, etc, etc, etc...
In spite of all of those, what I find to be the absolute worst side-effect of these few months is the loss of community. I've done some to help us connect, but our community without a concerted effort, I doubt that we will ever be able to regain our previous glory....
We've made it a long way, but we've still got a long way to go....

Fantastic results, and deserved the immense time.
It was more than time, to show such people that their intentions are not stronger, than the value of a nation, that the value of his countrymen, that the strength and will of its people.

Great article BigC, but I'd disagree with some of your assertions.
Community activity is at an all time high this month. We have an extremely active DoI that took our old and out dated programs and replaced them with ones better suited to the community. We have a historic SIX to SEVEN government newspapers being published, with a government article in the Top 5 almost every day.
Additionally, we've seen great success on the battlefield against TWO lately, with MASSIVE wins in battles today and yesterday.
Lastly, the USAF is undergoing significant reform under SoD Mantle.
I believe things are on the up and up for the eUSA and we're doing much to counter the dull and lull of the last two months.
If you feel you can make things better, I'd encourage you to also take the first step and join me in the cabinet.
With all due respect Oblige (and don't think that I'm trying to say that you're wrong), The improvements that you are talking about are primarily short-term improvements. Government articles in the top 5 for the last week or two is awesome, but it does not instantly reverse 6 months of atrophy. Similarly, a few victories on the battlefield does not mean that we are holding our own. This see-saw has been going on for a while, and it would take sustained improvement to truly sway my opinions on those points in particular.
You and I both know that we don't always see eye to eye, but don't misunderstand this article. It is not meant to be a shot at you as our president. It is instead targeted at the community as a whole. We have collectively dug the hole that we're sitting in, and we must collectively climb our way out.
So what you're saying is that I have your vote next month and the one after? 😉
