Why eRep sucks -FP FACTORY: LIMITED EDITION -PREMIUM -SUPER PACK -AWESOMENESS

War... war never changes. In eRep it does. In fact, the only changes that happen are war/battle related. Even if they are not, they indirectly affect wars.
I don't know about you noobs, but I remember a time when battles had a meaning. When the attacks on Lion King and Hello Kitty were eagerly awaited. Back in the day when energy actually meant something.
Now we defecate on aljbanania for a month, so that they can free themselves for a few days and gloat like a bunch of brainless cockroaches, until they are crushed completely 3 days later.
Today, every other guy can hit MILLIONS of damage, every couple of hours. If you look at the eRep home page, it will see an outdated "review", about how it's a "strategy" game. There is no strategy in this. People just unload millions of damage and chase after little pixelated medals. Every single change and "mission" the Plato introduces, is focused on making people hit more in the never-ending battles. And I just cannot believe that the developers are so unimaginative. There are TON of things that can improve gameplay that have little to no effect on the filthy war module. So why aren't they doing it? I'll tell you why. Profit. Yes, this is a free game and they need to fund it somehow, but not at the expense of destroying the game! Right? ...right?

UPDATE 86548! -We decided to change the war module again, you know, since the other modules are already perfect.
Enough. Seriously. Changes can be good, and bring something new, fresh to the players in the battles... But Jesus Christ, Plato... I'm not going to say what you can change about it to make it better, because I know that you WILL change it, and I will NOT like ti. V2 was good, but too demanding (although, not more than guerilla), the WALL was awesome, but for some it was too simple.

Economy-
It's broken. Why is it broken? You guessed it. War module. Tell me, how many of you use any other Q weapon than Q7? Exactly. And why would you? What is stopping you from buying the top quiality guns? See, I remember a time when q3 gun I used to defend Liaoning, was more than 3 times my salary. ONE GUN. That you can use ONE time. What's the point of having lesser quality weapon factories? No one buys any. Maybe some noob here and there buys some to make a bomb, but even noobs wise up.
It's not hard to make unpopular, yet gameplay-friendly changes. For instance, you can make higher quality more expensive. Or better yet, make a limitation on what kind of gun you can use based on your Division/Rank/Strength/AllOfTheAbove. Yes, a lot of people will be pissed that they can't use q7, but who cares? You know, they might start buying gold to hit more 😃 Eh? Eh? ...I'm not saying that's the best solution, I'm saying it's better than what we have now. You can't just bump a new q8 weapon and please the masses with the "super duper awesome update".
Currency... completely destroyed economy once all CC became the same. With my RSD I can buy a smuggled mountain mule in Ealbanalia. Where's the logic in that? Not to mention that all CC based rewards are the same, even if the gold is not the same amount of CC in that country.
Food industry is also messed up. Sure, people buy both q1 and q7, but that's only because there is NO DIFFERENCE to the player. He can eat 10 q7 foods, or he can eat 200 q1. He doesn't care. Energy is so easy to recover. Do you know why? Because the easier you get to recover your energy, the sooner you get to hit in the never-ending war.
Come on Plato! You can attract players to stay longer on your game by introducing new mechanics and such, not just by letting them click "fight" for an hour non-stop.
What did you change in the political module? Nothing. You gave it a fancy "party positions" and "ministries", that do NOTHING. What about laws? What about making party-orientation restrictions on what laws can be proposed/passed? What about new laws? There are a ton of cool laws you can introduce. Not just "ATTACK THIS! ATTACK THAT!". You need examples? Sure. I'll even give you a freaking idea FOR FREE, because I'm just an awesome guy who despite being poor, isn't a greedy bastard.
Iron curtain - My favourite. Propose the Iron Curtain law, that will disable players in the country from leaving unless they get a special permit from the congress. But also prevent other players from entering the country. You can even make a mechanic for MU's and allow the Congress/Dictator to issue special permits for entire units. Want to expand on that? Affect the economy. Make available special temporary buildings that can smuggle certain number of people in or out of the country, and only to the adjacent country, from where you can go as you please (if they don't have Iron Curtain as well). You may ask "why would we make such a change?", well, why not? It is cool. I actually LIKED that you couldn't travel wherever you wanted back in the day. When you had to buy tickets and jump from one country to another. Not to mention that there are ton, TON of foreign agents in a country that you can do NOTHING about, even if you know about them. Iron Curtain doesn't have to last long. You can make it last a week, and then you can't introduce it again for a few days if you want to limit it. I mean come on! YOU CAN DO WHATEVER YOU WANT! THERE IS NO LIMITATION TO THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF PROGRAMMING!
Speaking of restrictions, how about a mechanics that will banish a player? Yes, it can be misused to banish political opponent or just hte people you don't like. But there are also a ton of conditions and limitations AND EXPANSIONS you can make on that mechanic.
How about censorship? Yes, it may mess with the already dead newspaper module, but it would be fun! Imagine, your newspaper being censored by someone other than the admin/mod who found him/herself insulted! Fun! You can make it so that only certain words can get censured, or that a special minister of propaganda, can edit and censure a certain number of words in the newspaper, or delete them completely. You can expand on this idea. Hell I'm doing it as I write. You can make it that, once a paper has been censored, the author can start the underground newspaper, that players can only read if they pay a certain amount of CC for. This will be a motivation for the journalists as well.
How about a change that can affect people who aren't politicians, writers, business owners or soldiers? I don't know what, maybe little random events that can affect players strength, rank, work skill (remember those? Those were awesome. I also liked the time management mechanic), or hell, even something like "you woke up today and found 10CC under your pillow". I mean come on. You make silly missions during holidays as well...
YOU CAN MAKE ANYTHING YOU WANT, AND YET YOU CHOOSE TO MAKE LAME WAR MODULE EVEN MORE LAME!
And THAT is why eRep sucks. Make something for the players, not just something to buff up your stock value. In fact, in doing to, you will no doubt affect your value. People flock to a quality product. Use the potential!
