Opps, They Did It Again



Yesterday was a very critical day for the United States. The Top 6 parties were under a political take over (PTO) attempt yet again! Sure, we see the same thing every month, but this time it was different. It was large and highly organized. Yesterday, the United States came together as one and kicked these attempts right out of here! That's right, all the Top 6 Parties are safe!

Thank you for all the time each you put into this operation. All the shouts and votes you put in really put this together. Without all those efforts, we could very well have Hungarians in the Party President spot. Party President is the most important position in-game mechanically, because they nominate Country Presidents and potential Congressmen. Let's just say, we averted a disaster waiting to happen.

With that being true, we cannot be blind, unless you're Helen Keller. In a little bit over a week, it's time to hit the polls again for our Congressmen and Congresswomen. We must be sure that those elections are safe! If you haven't, please take that time to apply for a blocker position in any Top 5 Party.

The role of a blocker is one that sometimes goes unnoticed, but as a blocker, you are doing your country a great deed. While Party Presidents nominate Congressmen in each state, if there is only one candidate in that state, he will appear on the ballot even if he was not approved by a Party President. By being a blocker, you "block" the chances of that person becoming a threat by running in that state with no intention of being in Congress. Believe me, without blockers, who knows how many Hungarians would be in Congress.

Far Eastern Russia

Far Eastern Russia is probably the greatest military achienvement we have had in eRepublik Rising. It took us countless hours sitting on IRC and virtual junkfood to take it away from those Ruskies. As a result, we must everything in our power to keep it as United States terriory. It doesn't take much, all you need to do is sit there in the cold tundra exposed to the wilderness.

Just move to Far Eastern Russia. That's all you need to do, simple, right? For every citizen in FER, it will cost Russia 0.25 more gold to start a resistance war there. Sure, that might seem like petty gold, but it will all add up! It will cost three moving tickets to get there. You need moving tickets? The government supplies them right here.
