Announcements

We would like to welcome our new Secretary of Media CRoy onto the White House team. Back from a lengthy hiatus in eIsrael, he’ll be coordinating White House press releases and other Executive media from this point forward. Questions regarding official media, requests for interviews with high ranking administration officials, and questions about newspapers in general (how to create, write, use bbcodes) should go to him, and we’ll find someone in the Media office will help you out.

This White House Press Release will primarily focus on the recent military changes. If you already understand the new mechanics, feel free to skip to the end of the article for a quick interview with a member of your government as well as a very Great Ape announcement.

New Alliance Rules

The biggest recent change in eRepublik is the new Alliance system. In the past, Mutual Protection Pacts (the ability to fight in the war of an ally, now called alliances but broadly referred to still as MPPs) would be activated when one country attacked another country’s home regions (only regions that a country had when first created in the game), and only the defender’s MPPs would kick in. The MPPs would then stay active indefinitely in any battles between the original two countries until peace was declared.

This system has been completely changed. Any attack launched by a nation on any region in the world activates all of both the attacker’s and defender’s MPPs. Countries that have mutual alliances between belligerents are automatically on the attacker’s side and their alliance is deleted.

War is going to be more prevalent now than ever before.

Goodbye Training Wars

The concept of ‘training wars’ is likely to be a thing of the past, at least for the eUnited States. When one of our allies is involved in a conflict anywhere in the world, we will be by their side. If you’re a Congressmen (or aspiring to be one, but have been hesitant because of the potential lack of chances for fighting), this will be welcome news for you. It will now be very rare that a day will go by without some sort of war to participate in.

Hospital Changes

All you need to know:

“Whenever you enter into a battle you will get 100 free health from the hospital. If you consume it you can get 100 more health for free in the next 2 hours mini-battle.
...
We estimate that the roll out of the changes will be finished in the following 10 days.”

Signed,
Nurse Admin

Be prepared to fight. A lot. This changes everything.

Weapons Skill Migration

Weapons skills will all be simplified soon. Instead of having different skills for each type of skill, all will be combined into one. Pre-V2 citizens may remember this as strength.

Feel free to groan...now.

(Spoiler alert: There are some very cheap rifles on the market right now. Perhaps you should grab a few to save for later 😉 )

Also, as of now, all of the four weapon types have the same special features (which is to say they equally have no special features). This may change in the future. Keep an eye out for new eRepublik Insider articles, and make sure to subscribe there to hear about changes as soon as they are announced.

Meet the Government

Today’s guest is Nicholas Ryan, the White House Deputy Secretary of Media.

Q: What is your name, your position in the WH, and your positions outside of the WH?

Nicholas Ryan, Deputy Secretary of Press for the Lantrip Administration, S.E.E.S. Election Coordination Sensei, Generally TOP GUN fgt

Q: What is your personal favorite eRepublik moment.

I understand I missed a lot of them, but it's gotta be |GF| Day. The energy and chaos was palpable and I found it delicious.

Q: If you could make one change in eRepublik, no matter how outlandish, what would it be?

Well, this is pretty crazy and out-there but I'd love to see legit PvP battles. Call me a dreamer.

Thanks Nicholas! Best of luck to you.
