War! Huh! What is it good for?

What is it good for?
War is the sole driver of activity and prosperity in erepublik. War stimulates the economy. This is because in war people buy weapons on a large scale, without it this industry is crippled. It also gives life to the gifting industry. If you live in a region with a Q5 hospital it means you can fight 5 times and heal after fight and be on a sensible health. However using gifts, you can fight 6 times. If you fight 5 times in a war then heal, then fight ONCE more you can heal yourself up by 10 units using gifts. Either use an org, or a friend to offer gifts to yourself (you can only increase your health 10 units a day). Not only that, but moving tickets will be purchased by mobile soldiers and officers to provide for official forces so that they can move out to fight in battles that don't directly involve their country.
In turn with weapons, gifts and MT's being bought, the RM's that make these products will also become more in demand. So war will increase the consumption of iron, diamonds and oil too. Without war there would also be no need for hospitals or defence systems (admittidly DS's are not bought much anymore) .
Oh. So war is all about the economy then?
No. War interests the population and without the drive to do something many of the population will simply give up out of boredom.
But I don't want to hurt anyone.
No one gets hurt by wars in erep. The war module is not about people fighting people. Each region of every country has a wall, and when a countries region gets attacked the wall is decreased. The country that owns the region can fight to increase the wall. Its like the Berlin wall, one side wants to try and keep it up, the other wants to get in.
Hopefully you are compelled to accept the importance of war, now join up to the eUK military today!
