US Airstrikes FYROM in Argentina
America has utilized the Airstrike, only its second (or third?) in history, to insert ourselves directly to Macedonian-occupied Argentina.
The buildup to this Airstrike started several days ago, when Secretary of State Wild Owl approached Congress for Approval of the Airstrike and war funding, remembering Argentina's Airstrike against FYROM in Canada on our behalf. Since FYROM's incursion into South America, they've wreaked havok on Argentina and appear poised to jump into Brazil. The process ground on slowly but without opposition, was approved and sent to President/Dictator Yui MCHP001 for the in game Proposal.
In his recent article, A friend in need is a friend indeed, SecState Wild Owl outlines the foundation of this action:
"The United States will be using its airstrike to help our friends in Argentina and Brazil. Argentina has been a steadfast ally to us and is a cornerstone of our Foreign Policy.
Brazil is one of our oldest relations in the game, and while the relationship did get spoiled for a bit a few years ago, brothers are always there for each other. Argentina needs help with the two hostile invaders that they have in their cores, and as a good friend, it is our duty to be there for them. The world should know that we will be there for them."
President Yui MCHP001 wrote in his article, Defense of the Allies:
"Generally, we aren’t directly aggressive. When we are asked to give help to our allies, we’ll simply put their battles as our number one priority, or start Resistance Wars to drain damage for them. Sometimes, we’ll even set some Combat Orders for them, but we rarely NE or Airstrike our allies’ foes.
We do this to play the game for the long term. Some say this way is boring, but smart. Others say it’s a coward’s way to play. However, no one can claim that this strategy hasn’t worked. We rarely get directly attacked ourselves, and when we do we deflect it almost every time. This method has also lead to a plethora of resources from both versions of the Resource Wars.
However, there are times where we must forgo this strategy, and stick our necks out to defend the allies we hold near and dear to us.
This is one of those times."
At press time, the Battle for Buenos Aires at the Pampas region is in its early rounds, and we are a bit behind in points. One Media Staff observer sees it like this: "We are smashing them in D4 and getting smashed in D1-3. Unsurprising given the pre-war lineups. It is not possible to win with just D4 - we will go down 6-5 every round until we can take one of the lower divisions. My opinion: Lack of sponsorship for the Infantry Kit. Congress is too tight fisted to buy anyone anything. There are low Division players with the strength of a D4 fighter. They will stay foreign to us, because other countries buy their IKs."

at best, you've addressed me as a close friend or some sort of compatriot.

...but I am just a popgun D2 tank that is totally irrelevant to the battlefield and therefore not worthy of supplies. So why should I even bother to fight when the damage in D2 is in the billions? Why should I bother when strong citizens fight for BH medals on both sides? Then they get pissed cause I am trying to steal their BH when I do fight?
Plus now it is being speculated that more funding might be needed to win this ill-conceived little adventure. Just another in a long line of defense by appeasement failures created by our Foreign Affairs Guru.
...now if there were categories for whining you would definitely be in D4
D6. Easily.
As D1 I'm not thrilled at the new battle system, but that's good that we are helping an ally. Do what we can.
It started to late for most Americans to participate

I agree on that. 😃
