The Real Falklands, The Real Facts
Bob Bloggs
What's that in top corner?
The Union Jack, of course: the symbol of the United Kingdom.
So to start with what does this tell us?
The Falklands are part of the UK, they're a member of the UK hence our flag being indicated on their flag. This is the flag that they so proudly fly above: Port Stanley, their homes and their neighborhoods. So you can say that theirs a little bit of Britain on each and every flag bearing area.
Who's in charge?
The head of state certainly isn't this woman:
But this lovely lady:
Would you rather have a women who can't even hold up flowers properly, let alone run a country, in charge or the kind hearted, Elizabeth II who lets people run the government for her.
The Population:
The Falklands possess a humble population of just under 3,000, yet these three thousand speak as loudly as thirty thousand with their determination to remain British (just three voted against remaining British) and where ever you go, you see things like this:
But still they defy them as if the corrupt government are death
The Hardships:
Argentina has blockaded the islands, prevented their airspace from being used, scared off commercial companies and unforgettably invaded, and failed to retain the Falklands.
So as we fight tonight, guns ablaze, spare a thought what this is really about and continue the hard work of our tommies!
Remember the Falklands are ours, Argentina don't deserve them!

Chagos belongs to chagossians, and yet.....
well at least they weren't just wanted for oil production!
No, just to give US a base.... Sad
To give the US a training base to stop argentinians invading places like the falklands
You could have gave them liverpool for instance. You own soil
Patagonia belongs to the indigenous people of South America and yet you're still there.
the same can be said for the whole of the americas
True, i see no claim from patagonians though. That doesnt justify the fact that you evicted chagossians to give military base to daddy.
Which is why I'm proud to be an indigenous Brit! o7
Iscay, because you massacred them all!
that is a completely different matter, and the courts didn't side with the populace, and in case you aren't aware in our country they use something called a jury to decide not a corrupt dictator
Well said Bob
if you don't believe me about the corruption, look at this: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/9/96/Corruption_perception_index_2012.png/450px-Corruption_perception_index_2012.png
Look at that, Argentina's a good ol' blood red colour. How's democracy going in your part of the world Iscay?
o7
we inhabited them before argentina even existed...back off our land
Proud to be British
Proud to stand and FIGHT
i think argentina are been really disrespectful for the men and women ON BOTH SIDES who lost their lives over those islands. i would like argentina to remember that they were under military dictatorship BUT ALSO remind britain we are not an empire anymore.
a referendum for the islanders was held and they voted to remain british. now some argentinians have said they are a planted population so they would vote for that, yes but the population was put there 180 years ago. those islands are THEIR homes and it is their choice what to do, not britian or argentina.
i ask politily that no-one starts another arguement with me on this subject or i shall report them to the admins for disrespectful behaviour.
thank you and good article, if not a little biased
thank you jny123, it is bound to be bias as i am very patriotic

[removed]

I just replied what you are saying here, what's your problem?
You brought the topic back, i'm just counter-argumenting..
brought the topic up*
"i ask politily that no-one starts another arguement with me on this subject or i shall report them to the admins for disrespectful behaviour."
and i quote. now leave it mate. you are getting on my nerves
Dude i give a fuck about your nerves, you can't say anything you want (specially on this topic) and expect no one to say anything against..
On top of that, who do you think you are to say THIS is disrespectful behaviour, THIS is not..
So.. What you say is respectful, but my counter-argument (with no insults what so ever) is not, just because you don't want to start an argument?
If you don't want to start an argument, i would advice you to shut your big mouth 🙂
I have taken images of this little conversation, in case your report is successful, to send a ticket on my behalf, asking for answers.. Since the only one who has been disrespectful, has been you my little brazilian friend 🙂

Las Malvinas son Argentinas. Patria o Muerte!
Sorry, but do you mean 'Las FALKLANDS son BRITÁNICAS'? Don't worry, common mistake.
Mmmm no, he said MALVINAS ARGENTINAS, and he meant MALVINAS ARGENTINAS
Let the bloke answer for himself Hao
The people living in the Islands are British, but the Malvinas Islands belong to Argentina.
no, where they live is their home, and if they are BRITISH then the falklands are BRITISH
Not, it´s like the Israelis living in the Golan Heights, they are occupying that land.
but people were originally there, weren't they
Not, the Israelis are applying the "Lebensraum" policy of the Third Reich, displacing people living there and putting Israelis so they can claim the land as theirs.
P.S.: Sorry to reply 2 days after, I didn´t saw your 2nd answer.
