In the 13th century Belarus (known as Grand Duchy of Litua at that time) was able to create the largest empire in medieval Europe.
Difficult history prevented Belarus from repeating this later. Country that was once the largest in Europe became dominated by its neighbors. Tragic history continued in the XXth century when Belarusians suffered not only because of lack of country but also by nazi aggression that caused millions of deaths in this part of Europe.
In modern times there are not many "empires" left and acquiring new territories doesn't matter much. Territorial expansion is pretty much impossible in real world...
But now we have games, like this one where we can acquire new territories, create empires etc. Why not do this? Belarusian Ninjaz support the creation of Belarusian Empire. Help us and join our party!

Grand Duchy of Litua? English words mixed with Latin. Haha. I don't know real name of LDK, how it was named in that century, but if you started to change name of LDK, than change it to Lietuvos Didžioji Kunigaikštystė, because now LDK first centre based on todays Lithuania and in Lithuania lithuanians had spoke lithuanian(not todays lithuanian laguage, but very similar, only few words changed).

There was Belarus. It just wasn't called "Belarus". Otherwise, what do you call a country where most of people are ethnic Belarusians, most of its territory is to this day called "Belarus" and most people (including elites) speak Belarusian? Modern Lithuania doesn't have much to do with medieval country called Lithuania. Arabs who live in modern Egypt may call themselves Egyptians but they're not related to ancient Egyptians. Same with LIthuanians.
Please belarusians stop this propaganda.We had one nation united not by war but by diplomacy.In GDL belarusians ware Litvins,the capital was Vilnius,maybe we had diferent languages,but still we ware the same nation and history will allways unite us.Why we hate each other and take all history of GDL and make it thares or ours history.GDL was Belarus and Lithuania it is our history, belarusians and lithuanians have fatghed for GDL togedher and we togedher have writen the history of one nation that our both nations learn in schools right now.
And in GDL thare was ethnic grups like jews,polish,belarusians or lithuanians,but in those times nobady cared becose they all knowed that they live in GDL and they are the citizens of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
But i understand on what side the man hwo wrote this are.When he writes in the start "by nazi aggression" whare is soviet unions aggression or polands aggression these two countries have destroyed belarus,but the writer have forgotten that,why?I think we all understand why.

если учил историю Великого Княжества Литовского, то должен знатЬ, что в этом государстве были 3 главных государственных языка, на котором былки напечатаны все документы (канцелярия) - старо русский, латинский и полский. Так что если продолжать в том же духе, доказывает ли это, что Литва - это Польша или ещё лучше - Ватикан? Кстати, старо русский язык - это не беларусский.
Да, литовцы, своей собственной писменности не имели во времена ВКЛ, это появилось гораздо позже, как и беларусская. Но главное это не письменность, а отдельная культура, обычаи, язык которые пазличaються между балтами и славянами. Здесь не буду писать, если вам интересно, то полистайте немного книги про антропологию и культурологию.

А какой государственный язык в Литве сейчас? Может африкаанс?) Глупо даже предполагать, что государственным может быть целиком искусственный язык, которым никто не пользуется. Откуда же его тогда знали? Ведь система образования была так себе. Вообще забавно, что литовцы так долго не могли создать свою письменность, ведь даже чукчи смогли это сделать причём не опираясь ни на какие кальки.
Но это отдельный вопрос. Я осознанно запостил здесь несколько спорных утверждений, что бы порадовать свой глаз очередными перлами литовской "историографии". Я видел забаваные литовские труды, где рассказывалось про многомиллионную литовскую нацию доминировавшую в сём государстве. Не менее забавные статьи, в том числе и в англоязычном сегменте википедии, пестрят ссылками на эти "труды". Ирония судьбы в том, что до прихода к власти Ленина подобной беллетристики практически не существовало. Даже в эсперанто (искусственном языке созданном ашкенази-литваком) Литва летописная и Литва современная обозначались разными словами. Спасибо большевикам - они дали отмашку на превращение мифов в историю.
И если литовцу можно утверждать, что население ВКЛ говорило на литовском, то почему бы такую же ахинею не утверждать белорусам? Что мы убогие что ли?) Всё равно проверить это нельзя, может они там все на етвязи общались? Мы тоже имеем богатую фантазию, как и ваши "историки") Я с уважением отношусь к литовскому народу, но не могу не посмеяться над литовским самолюбованием. У меня хоть хватило мужества ознакомиться с конкурирующими точками зрения, а у вас оно есть?
Что касатается старо русского языка, то ты чего-то напутал. Этот термин практически нигде не применяется. Ладно бы ты сказал хотя бы запднорусский или рутенский или древнерусский (хотя это совсем другой язык). Язык же, на котором напечатан Статут, назывался "проста мова", "руска мова" или "ЛИТОВСКА мова".
