Hello soldiers!

As you have probably noticed in the recent days, the CAF has been undergoing a period of massive changes at the very head of the organization, as it is always the case with a change of leader.

I feel that I must use my first few words to thank the people who held my position before me, a handful of Canadian citizens who worked for the greater good of the country. They are, in chronological orders of whom I served my country under: Coda, Ramizeth, Danster and Philip Delle Palme.

But this is enough of the past. What I focus on is the future. The future of the CAF and, by extension, of Canada.

Because, you see, when someone thinks about the CAF, it is about the sword and shield of Canada as a country that they think about. The Canadian Armed Forces are the official Army of the government. Not a simple militia. An ARMY.

My priorities will be :

1) Active officers
2) Active troops (2nd because it isn't possible without the first)
3) New recruits (JOIN US!)
4) Strong presence on the battlefield
5) Making sure every soldier is in an environment that fits them. (Bilingualism really stroke me as a problem, as the first francophone (Well, bilingual, but my mother tongue is french) to lead the CAF).


I have until november 15th to achieve better results in these fields, and I intend to!

Comme vous l'avez probablement remarqué ces derniers jours, les CAF ont traversé une période de changements massifs à la tête de l'organisation, comme c'est toujours le cas avec un nouveau leader.

Je sens que je dois utiliser mes premiers mots pour remercier mes prédecesseurs à ce poste : Coda, Ramizeth et Philip Delle Palme.

Mais cela suffit pour le passé. L'important, c'est le futur. Celui des FACs, mais aussi du Canada, par extension.

Car, vous voyez, lorsqu'on pense aux FACs, on pense à l'épée et au bouclier du Canada. Les FACs sont l'armée officielle du gouvernement. Pas une simple milice. Une ARMÉE.

Mes priorités seront:

1) Des officiers actifs
2) Des soldats actifs (2e car impossible sans le premier)
3) De nouvelles recrues (Joignez-nous!)
4) Une forte présence sur le champ de bataille.
5) S'assurer que chaque soldat est dans un environnement qui lui plait (Je pense au bilinguisme, par exemple, en tant que premier général francophone de l'histoire des FACs)

J'ai jusqu'au 15 novembre pour atteindre de meilleurs résultats sur ces points, et je compte bien réussir!
