Thank you for accepting me as your President this month. I expect in this next sentence you are expecting me to promise you great things and reveal amazing plans. Well I can give you none of these yet. What I can promise you is honesty and communication. As yet, I do not have a plan for our freedom.

Instead of plans and promises I will ask something of you. I know that you have been a little starved of information lately, but I ask that you be patient. I will be needing a few days to talk with a lot of people before deciding our course.

Was that the worst first address speech you've ever heard? Well, I told you I'd be honest!
