Hello everyone, I am here to talk about a little thing that came up in my mind. THIS IS JUST AN IDEA! As far as I know, nobody has really talked about this before, this is just a little idea that popped up in my mind.
Here it is:
An alliance... of nations that speak English!
Think about it..
The membership would look like this:
USA
Canada
UK
Ireland
Australia
New Zealand
This could be, in my opinion, a very fun and successful alliance. It would avoid Balkan-centric conflicts, which was the Goal of CTRL, though that alliance is not looking so great at the moment.
This would be difficult, however. Relations between America and Canada aren't what they used to be, and Australia and New Zealand have fought for as long as I've played this game.
But this CAN be done! Ireland and the UK have recently ended hostilities between them, and are looking to the future. Also, with all of these countries speaking the same language, it is immensely easier to get your point across in diplomatic negotiations. Yes, it is true that many people from other nations are capable of speaking English, but not to the degree of fluency that those of us who speak it primarily posses.
This is NOT a serious suggestion, just a little food for thought. Feel free to agree or disagree in the comments below.

Wouldn't work because New Zealand is controlled by the Serbs 😛
^ Dbsndust speaks the truth. I don't think NZ is PTOED, but their main units are very pro-serbia. (On notable one being the Black Hand, I think)
Everyone else could probably get along...but the U.K is very Pro-Poland, so unless America really helps them the U.K wouldn't risk helping us. All others could work.

When I left the game Canada and US were quite close allies. Not sure what went wrong, but it is something that should be fixed. US and Can fighters worked hand in hand freeing North America from phoenix/peace.
Time to mend fences.

It's completely impossible to avoid Balkan conflicts. I hate to be such a pessimist, but that's why CTRL failed/is failing. There's no way to avoid it. With the MPP stacks that Croatia, Hungary, Serbia, and the rest have, it's impossible, unless we want to be completely unaligned with anyone... Then we'd be wiped in about 5 minutes.
And India speaks primarily English as well. Except they're weak, and are currently under Croatia's boot... Nonetheless, cute idea.
Weak countries but you also forgot South Africa. South Africa has two official languages: English and Afrikans.
