The last time Spain was wiped from the map, was a year and a half ago.
The last time Spain was wiped from the map, Brazil occupied her south.
The last time Spain was wiped from the map, France occupied her north.
The last time Spain was wiped from the map, it was Day 639.
The last time Spain was wiped from the map, she was destroyed trying to help defend America. She was surrounded by three hostile states, Brazil, France and Portugal. France and Brazil combined to burn Madrid to the ground.
And what was America doing?
We were being systematically removed from the map. Russia, Portugal, France and Indonesia were all occupying large portions of our nation.
We've come a long way.
I'm not saying this war is right, or wrong. Personally, I support it. But I remember when Spain was one of our bros. When they gave everything, fighting on the same side as us. When they retreated their last region, sealing their defeat.
But times have changed. And countries that once were enemies, are now friends. And nations that had served together, bleed together, and ultimately won together, are now in a state of open war.
Go forth America, and help our new allies burn Madrid once more. But do it with the slightest pangs of regret. Knowing that this country gave it's everything, so that we could remain on the map.

Actually, eSpain's 16,000 Gold screw-up hastened the invasion of North America, and of Spain.
So you really shouldn't feel any guilt.
Last time Spain was wiped out, it was with the help of Hungary (who took 16000 golds from them), and now they are allies.

Our biggest mistake ever, activating all those mpps. Should have simply taken a chair and some popcorn. You weren't and aren't worthy of anything.

We fought and bled alongside the Spanish; we should've known they’d hate us for it. History is written by the victor, and here I am, thinking we'd won. But you bring down one enemy and they find someone even worse to replace him. Locations change, the rationale, the objective. Yesterday's enemies are today’s recruits. Train them to fight alongside you and pray they don’t eventually decide to hate you for it, too
