Ahh! Summer at last, the temperature outside has become above 10 degrees, and it has stopped raining for a moment. Now it`s time to fully enjoy the enorwegian summer. Now we can eat our dobble ice-cream, drinking the beer, and kill some mosquitos as main summer acvtivity. And listen to your Spotify or your grammofone or whatever it is, to your favorite summer hits.







My special summer song, and perhaps for many RL Norwegians is the intro of the summer-program “Reiseradioen” (“summerradio”). Its Count Basie`s “Kid from Red Bank”. The programme has been aired, for decades, on the oldest Norwegian radio-channel when schools are closing in the middle of june. When a Norwegian hear this tune, its summer, regardless of weather.
