Session 1 - V2, Karnataka, Poland

Last night I was elected to congress! Thank you for everyone that voted, and to Sunny for making it a fun race.

Now I know I am a first time congressman and have yet to do anything, but that is what the next 30 days are for. I promise to keep you guys updated on my voting records and stay active for all 30 days I am in office. Now there are a few things I want to talk about.
V2
We need to be prepared for V2. There is a much bigger learning curve for newbies then there is right now. We need to be prepared to help the babies balance their first few days in the eWorld. Plus many experienced players I talked to are still confused about certain things. We need to have people that get it write articles for others to read and learn from. V2 will have you spending a lot of gold if you want to. So you need to decide are you going to Horde your gold or spend it.
Karnataka
It seems that the Indian government is getting a little pushy with Karnataka. They seem to be pushing for it back. Personally to me this show lack of foresight. So lets be honest. The Indian army cannot defend Karnataka! If we give Karnataka back India will either need the strongest amount of MPPs out there or the US Army will pay the price. Russia, Serbia, and Iran could launch a attack on Karnataka in 72 hours if they wanted to. U.S. Army would be drained trying to defend this and the region would eventually be lost. So if India wants it back it's time to play hardball.
Renting Regions
Poland, Sweden, and Ireland all want to rent high land regions from us. I am 100% for this. We don't need all these high grain, wood, and oil regions. There is no bonus for having multiple high regions so having one is the same as having 10. These three countries will develop these regions very fast and we will be importing and taxing some of those goods making more money for us. Plus they are willing to pay 1000 gold a region it looks like. This money is much needed and will go into our reserves. Our reserves need expanding because V2 will have increased spending and our reserves are already pretty low.

Rent away the regions, we don't need them. We may lose a few businesses, but oh well.
v2- bullshit idea, though if players are going to carry over, it would be advantageous to get an idea whether the majority of the population are going to be big spenders or savers.
karnataka- we are already paying more than enough gold to hang on to this region, if india want it back...let them have it, they will only waste gold defending it; once USA is out of there. So...no rent for india, with no real american interest there, we may have to think twice before defending that region and wasting our gold.
Renting land- good idea in the short run, but if things go sour with the current number of allies wanting to rent, we will have strengthened them, whether we it was intentional or not...catch 22and all that...whatever the decision we need to have...CONSTANT VIGILANCE!

The 31st Congress is hitting the ground running, we may be the beginning of seeing Congress turn around and be actually worth a crap.

We have no diplomatic choice but to return Narnia to India. Keeping it by force or coercion would make us the bad guys and we'll lose what degree of credibility we have among our fragile powerful alliances.
Liberating Liaoning would give China two High Irons and would be a logical place for us to seek to rent. China certainly has been a more stable ally.
Thank you Custer. I just think we need play hardball with India before simply just giving back. I will be lost within a week.
