Elitists

Who exactly are they?

First, a little mood music

Now, a little defining of the terms.

PTOer- Any citizen who attempts to take over a nation through political infiltration

“Elitists”- The main opposition to the PTOers. These people are the well established names in the political spectrum. These people are ambassadors, Party Presidents, Congressmen/women, CPs, VPs, everything.

Now, here is the PTO vs Elitist situation in our great nation. America has been under attack for a LONG time now, from a man named Ajay Bruno. Ajay has been banned from the game MANY times. He has been known as Pizza the Hut, General Cartman Lee, Winston Churchill, and currently, Ronald Gipper Reagan, RGR. Ajay claims to be an American patriot fighting against the tyranny of the “Elitists.” However, in actuallity, Ajay is only in it for HIMSELF. If that means he can make some gold by selling our country to Serbia, HE WILL DO IT.

RGR, unfortunately, is NOT ALONE. He is mainly assisted by two people: Hannibal LA, the in-game leader of the American Freedom Alliance, who barely speaks English (ironic, huh?), and Norbengo, the VP of the AFA. Norbengo is a professional troll. In any newspaper article published by someone dubbed an “Elitist,” you will be able to find him in the comment section, trashing the current regime and how we do things here in America.

On the other side, there are the Elitists. Ajay claims that the “Elites” keep all the power for themselves, and prevent anyone new from getting involved. This is only half-truth. What these “Elites” actually do, is try and keep the power with those who will use it RESPONSIBLY, with America's best interests at heart.

Another thing the “Elites” do is use IRC and Forums, and do much of the political debating and organizing outside of the actual game. Ajay is against this.

The use of IRC and Forums, is a good thing, however. It prevents half-assed politicians from gaining too much power. In order to gain power, you have to GET INVOLVED.

This brings me to the second aim of my article. My first purpose was to inform, my second was to advise. To anyone who wants to become involved in politics, it is NOT as hard as you think it is. There are a few simple steps you can follow to help you along.

1) Be Respectful of Everyone- Ajay likes to act as if all the elitists are the same, when in actuality, they can be very different! If you look carefully in comments on newspaper articles, and topics and discussions on forums, you will find a lot of differing opinions. BUT, always respect other peoples opinion. You may like CTRL, you may have wished that we stayed with Terra/EDEN. But everyone can have their opinion, and you should respect it.
2) Get Involved-Ask your Party President (as long as you aren't in the AFA) what you can do to get involved. The AMP, I know, has an internship program directly aimed at getting people involved.
3) Seek and Seize Opportunities- This is more simple than you could possibly imagine. Just pay attention, and when you see an opportunity, take it. For example, I have been the ambassador to the UK for the past month. It was this simple: I saw a post on the AMP feed that ambassadors were needed. I messaged NapalmNorm (the director of that stuff) and got the job. And there, my political career had started.

Now, I do not deny that much of the power is held by the big name politicians of this country, but DO NOT be discouraged! All you have to do is get involved, and opportunities WILL present themselves. Don't feel like your only way to become great is to ally yourselves with Ajay and his cronies. Many people seem to follow Ajay just because they want to change the way the “Elites” run this country. Well, change it from the Inside! There are plenty of people who trash Ajay with one breath, and the “Elites” with another, but WON'T do anything! Well, if you want to influence America, get involved.
