Proudest Moment in my eHistory

Day 1,470, 10:58 Published in Philippines USA by Aren Perry

This article is in response to a challenge from Fionia to write about your proudest moment in eHistory.

Alas, I have to pick one, but I will give another an honorable mention. Let's start with the 'biggest' and more recent.

My first Month as President of the Philippines

Why was I so proud of this? Not only because it fulfilled a long-held dream that I had, but because that I performed my duty excellently and with all of my capabilities.

The situation after I became president was this. Mindanao as usual was in Indonesia's hands and had been there for a long while. China wanted to attack Indonesia in response to Indonesia attempting to invade the US. As everyone in PH knows quite painfully well, China's land bridge to Indonesia lies directly through the Philippines. And their plan was to march through our land, as usual.

Remember back then if you lost all your land all your parties were destroyed, so there was something to lose other than our pride here as well!

Well, typically this can be worked out so that they march through our three territories (all save Mindanao) and manage not to completely destroy our nation, leaving us with one region consistently via RW (attack a new one, RW the first one attacked, rinse, repeat)...

Situation With China

After China was in position to attack Indonesia, they had a disagreement within their own ranks about whether or not they should. To not lose the initiative, they kept on attacking us repeating the cycle endlessly. Putting us in constant misery.

It was nigh impossible to get a hold of anyone in the Chinese government. Me and my cabinet tried endlessly to converse, but the president was basically AWOL (He ended up impeached), their congress split on what to do.

More than this, they wanted US to pay THEM for returning our land to us! They were running circles through our territories causing us endless pain while they made their minds up. And Scarlett Johansson was still as hot as ever (needless plug!)

But this wasn't all, Indonesia knew what was up and wasn't happy about us letting China through, needless to say, so we had heat on the other end too!...and so

The Situation With Indonesia

They promised to destroy us if we let China through. Great. Stuck between two super powers, powerless to really accomplish what either one of them wants, and with demands we cannot afford or do not want to afford to meet while simultaneously trying to keep the nation alive one territory RW at a time.

Then the kicker came

The one territory we could RW back to ourselves from China to keep ourselves alive, the Chinese told me they wanted to keep and would not let us get it back by RW because they wanted to attack from there...

Well, our carousel had ended...UNLESS I could stall the current battle ONE mini-battle period of time and then start a RW that goes off flawlessly in our secondary region, not lose a single mini-battle, and keep the nation alive. I worked hours and hours lining up people and militias to stall, fight, and keep our slim two hour margin of error window open.

How the #*&$# this All work out??

Me and my cabinet used the situation to our advantage. Remember, we didn't have Mindanao before all this sh** started to go down, but we told China that we would support them so long as we got Mindanao back from them after they took it, which was going to be their way through our land.

We also managed to talk China both out of US paying THEM gold, and into them giving us a small amount of reparations gold AND promising to sign an MPP with us in the future without us paying their half (a big deal for a small country, fyi).

We also got China to support the RW that made us saving our nation from totally being erased and saved all of our long-held political parties that continue on in existence to this day, thanks to my and my cabinet's hard work...

We simultaneously informed Indonesia that China was going to use Mindanao as a way to get through us to Indonesia (there are other links, but this is the one that they chose), and that in order to stop them from doing so, they needed to RW Mindanao back to us. All of this was nothing but truth.

RESULTS

However, this resulted in Indonesia returning Mindanao to us and it remained in our hands for months, a goal which no president had been able to accomplish for a long time.

Mindanao is usually just considered lost territory due to its iron resource, but I managed, even while facing pressure from two super-powers, to turn the tables and use each other of them to take a bad situation and come out of it with a huge gain.

Also, China repaid us for their incursion, a future MPP with China that was actualized, I developed ties and relationships with essential Indonesian politicians that lasted and helped through the next few months in helping us express our position to them in a way that they listened and respected.

If I'd say so, a successful beginning two weeks to my presidency.

Honorable Mention Event: AAP

WAAAYYYYYY back in the day....

I became the president of the 5th largest party within the USA. It had just slipped into that position from the 4th largest, partially due to a scandal from one of our most public figures, Uncle Sam, being found out to be a very, very big cheater and abuser of public funds for personal gain (who else remembers that? How about Operation Taco Bell??).

That didn't work out very well, partially because we actually ran low on weapons, back then supply was an issue! Back on track...

I took ahold of the position of Party President and gave our party a body and a manifesto that gave some meaning to the party, developed a team of individuals who were young and together we spent tons of time recruiting, gaining strength, and brought a slipping party from the 5th largest through a period of 3 months to the 3rd largest. My successor who I helped bring into activity within our party, Mercurius, brought the part up to the Largest party within the US.

I took stock in my part in this process in turning the boat around and getting talented individuals involved including but way beyond Merc in the party. I was proud of the AAP. Its downfall marked my leaving the US and why I came to the Philippines.
