Power to the People

eUK citizens
Now is the time to stop being oppressed, why don't you put our future in you're own hands?
Do I trust the citizens to make heavy decisions YES, this is why all the countries decisions should be put to a vote.
Many of you are in the dark and have no clue what is going on,(This is not a dig at the current government, as I know some would like to use my words agasint the current government) hey I'm even in congress and I have trouble finding out what is going on, as information is not so forth coming over the last year, or with any government this is why the people must vote on all issues themselves.
Congress make a fine old mess of things, Allowing a dictator to make total decisions is wrong in a democracy ,so the only way forward is to trust YOURSELF. And vote B in the Referendum.
You play this game ,You have ever right to have a say , I think we must have some more smart people keeping quite- WHY? The old establishment have run out of ideas, I mean after years and years of playing we are still in the same predicament, so do everyone a favor and let the people decide our future.
You can discuss it here the vote will be happen tomorrow

Voted for Freedom.
voted for uk
Why not give all decision making to the current government? Your party supported Rathena, don't you trust the government?
But sadly there is no option like that in the referendum...
Power to the people
the current government is elected by the people though...
"hey I'm even in congress and I have trouble finding out what is going on, as information is not so forth coming."
Why didn't you vote to impeach the CP then?
I'm talking about in general over the last year, sometimes if you miss something in the congress mails It hard to work out and you have to work out what is happening.

If you can't find out what's going on as a member of congress, what makes you think the general populace have enough information to make an informed decision? And how would you handle sensitive issues - put up an article asking whether or not we should NE another nation, hold 24 hours of discussion, then a 24 hour vote, then find that they already NE'd us in response and the vote doesn't matter anyway? And what happens when the novelty wears off and people start getting bored with voting on every single issue? We couldn't even get 50 votes on a one-off constitutional crisis over Easter, so how low will the bar have to be set when we're getting daily votes over renewing MPPs and fiddling with the tax rates?
Nice idea, but I don't think it would work in practice.
C sense - vote C!
Exactly. People would soon lose interest in the referendums and turnout would plunge
Just like congress?
Turnout in congress is pretty always consistent at around 50%; I'd like to see a referendum get near that level
You can't really use the fact half of congress can't be arsed to vote as a positive. The less people that vote the more a system is open to abuse - like your failed impeachment.
I have faith that enough people will voice there opinions when it matters, as they are doing now.
"like your failed impeachment." I voted against the impeachment you sausage
"I have faith that enough people will voice there opinions when it matters, as they are doing now."
I don't share that faith, and nor do I think most people really have any idea what decisions the eUK should be making.
People would vote on the first few then the novelty would wear off and the turnout would end up just being those who run for congress + a few others anyway.
And as we saw in the France deal referendum, a good deal of people will just base their decisions on mindless jingoism rather than any sense of reason. Referendums are a poor way of making policy
"nor do I think most people really have any idea what decisions the eUK should be making."
This is also the situation with congress for many many months
"people will just base their decisions on mindless jingoism rather than any sense of reason. "
People based the decision on pride rather than the greed shown by congress
What you call "Total Democracy" I would call mob rule, which is one of the worst forms of government. Even Plato (the philosopher, not the Destroyer of this Fine Game 😛 ) noted that only tyranny was worse than democracy in it's purest form. Getting two people to form a consensus can be bad enough, Getting the whole of the population to agree is nothing short of madness.
"Congress make a fine old mess of things"
While events of recent days have possibly shown Congress at it's very worst, 20% of that number is represented by members of your own party. At least shoulder *some* of the blame for failings of Congress.
You do not choose at all, the average citizen I mean, you have no option but to vote for a pre-established candidate chosen by his/her political party. The candidate comes with all the mambo-jambo called "promises"
