Only one thing you are missing. Since we don't have enough people to fill every available congress seat we can assume that every active eCanadian is already in congress xD

Abhijeet, if that's your intent, then you should encourage people to vote for the CP candidate that will hold a referendum on a deal like this. I wouldn't rely on Congress to take the initiative on this one, since it usually takes a motivated leader to spearhead major policy changes.

However, with the election only a few days away and not a single CP platform has been posted, it doesn't really look like any candidates are thinking about a deal.

So in that case...why not run for CP yourself and make that one of your goals? Even if you don't think you can win, at least it would get people/candidates talking about it in the media.

What would Colin expect from us for this rent that he cannot already impose on us without our consent? He is not just going to give us money for something he already has for free.

A deal gives Albania legitimate control of our regions. No ally would feel any obligation to help us get them out.

What happens when Albania gets bored and attacks one of our allies from our soil again? It is a war game so they will eventually do that. Why do you think he wants a border?

Once you make a deal you have neutered yourself and your allies are fair game.

We already have a deal of sorts with Albania or we would be wiped.

Also we have broken every deal we have ever made. I'm tired of being part of deals that we don't keep.

We actually reached a 4 region rental deal that connected to the 4 I typically hold here during the war, which I would actually like to do sooner or later.. maybe 3 each. But we had other allied priorities at that moment and I wasn't sure I wanted to be burdened trying to fight off multiple RW's plus other potential battles.

A deal mattered a lot to me at one point, been offering some version of one since the initial invasion.. the unofficial arrangement has gone well enough that I don't worry so much about it anymore though. The only REAL DIFFERENCE OF ANY KIND would be that Canada would get some money. I've contributed some to your development program that Xichael runs but probably less than half of what you might have made in rent.

To the post further down.. I think Serbia pays Italy 10k and I've heard of 10-15k being pretty normal. I'd like peace, but I'm not going to pay double the average for it.

Which regions.. it doesn't currently matter to me where as long as they are connected, but that area where we usually are is the only place we can take 4 regions and you lose only 1 bonus. Nova is not a region you need and if you look across the Atlantic, it is more calm and stable than it has been in a long time. We don't want chaos there.. I've actually put a fair amount of effort and treasure into preventing it.

But any deal where I pay money will have to include all the major factions in the country. You obviously can't control every individual, but I would expect the "leaders" in your community to all be on board with it. That is what I gain from paying..

100k cc a month and I'd go for an Albanian rental deal and then we could just carry on with an Irish TW.

Who is Abhijeet Kochhar really? Cause it looks like he is a noob that has put his nose in something that he has no historical context to understand it. Abhijeet Kochhar does not speak for anyone but himself. He is only a congressmen. So new and ignorant that he posted 2 proposals to congress "in-game" without following congress protocol that has been established for a long time! Who is this Abhijeet Kochhar? I say he is a guy everyone should ignore, he is attempting to speak for everyone and he has not authority to do so and has no respect for following the rules of congress. I think it may be time that congress cut him off at the knees and ban him, like the rules of Congress give us the authority to do when Congressmen are out of line!

I am replying with what looks like facts...you yourself have stated that you have spoken with Colin and others trying to broker a deal. And I read this article, you are speaking out of turn. If you want to really have this discussion you need to have it in the Congress forums. It's half cocked players like yourself that contribute to inactivity on the congressional forums. And you make eCanada appear to be weak and unorganized by our enemies. Let the appointed CP Team and a congress discussion happen before you insert yourself into things of this nature. Spend some time and read old articles, talk to long time players, investigate how things work. Don't play stupid! Playing stupid will just get you into trouble...

But seriously, the system doesn't show activity in any serious way, cause if it did, you would see. And don't forget the Congress forums you see now are not the forums we had way back when.
