Our way!!

Day 2,576, 21:27 Published in Switzerland Netherlands by jensenn

One of my best friends and me

Every sky will be blue as long as you're with me and this is really important because in the end, when you grow up, you will be told the world will always be the way it is and you should just live your life within the confines of the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice life, have fun, but never stop fighting for what you really believe.

If you don't then you will have a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is - everything around you that you call life, was made up by people who were no smarter than you, just older. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use, and that is our way!!!!

The minute that you understand that you can really change life and something will actually happen, and if you push enough, something will maybe improve. Then you will know that you can change life, you can mold it. That’s maybe the most important thing we all can do. It’s to shake off this erroneous notion that our life is there and you’re just gonna live in it, instead embrace it, change it, improve it, make your mark upon it but never try to follow the people you think can change you, because then you’ve missed the point.

I think that’s very important and however you learn that, once you learn it, you’ll want to change your expectations for this game and make it better, because it’s kind of messed up in a lot of ways. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again and you will never follow what others consider a typical life.

This is how everything starts, and this is all we want. At the end, when others may tell you that you are ruining the game, I strongly disagree, I believe that we are the ones who are right, even though we are sometimes called trolls, or stupid kids, but hey, it’s really fun because every time someone tells us that, it makes us better. So go ahead, never give up, and even when you are alone you will find people who share the same feelings. That’s my party, that’s the Swiss Pirate Party, a collective of fun people trying to change what others believe is right.

When I discover something, a birthday present, the next big trip or something cool, I keep it in my heart. How I organise it -neat or messy - is up to me. What matters is how I find my way back to what I discovered.

Thank you so much,
David.
