The Survival Guide for New Players / De Survivalgids voor Nieuwe Spelers

You may have come across many guides that advocate training and no fighting. This is not one of them, this is the alternative guide.

Although I do not dispute the fact that training is very important, and that gaining XP points make you weaker, I do however believe the most important thing for new players is to have fun and make friends. It’s also important for new players to understand the basics of the game as early as possible.
I believe many players die from boredom whilst over training in an effort to become the strongest player in the division in 18 months time. Players however normally do not die whilst fighting for their country or for medals. (Well as long as you don’t have a heart attack out of excitement.)

The future of the Netherlands lies with new players as the game is primarily a numbers game, hence you will find most older players will be more than willing to assist you, so do not be afraid to ask.

Here are my tips:
1) When starting buy Q7 weapons and do not be afraid to fight and do the missions until you reach level 20 or 21, at which stage you should concentrate on upgrading your free training facility and slow down with the fighting. Always focus more on fighting for your country if possible as you gain 5 gold for true patriot medals doing so. Always fight with Q7 weapons.

2) Try doing the Plato/Chicken mission after you reach 150 strength, as you will then be able to use bazookas against the boss (after defeating ever 24 opponents). Do not waste your bazookas, use them for the main boss being Plato the Chicken or their friend. When hitting the main character with the bazooka you will restrict your XP gain, and also do a lot of damage which could potentially help you win a battle hero or true patriot medals.

3) Only use the free training facility, do not use gold to buy strength from the other training facilities.

4) Buy a weapons factory when requested to do so, but sell/dissolve it ASAP. It’s not profitable for new players to manufacture raw materials, food or weapons, and you gain XP points every time you do so making you weaker. Rather sell the facilities you can and use the proceeds on upgrading training facilities. Buy your food from the market.

5) Buy a newspaper for 2 gold or get one free via the following link: http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/-mob-newspaper-project-gratis-krant-free-newspaper1-2392480/1/20.

Publish something ASAP and either announce who you are and where you from, or post a joke or something interesting. This is a good way to make friends and get to know the community, as people are able to post comments and vote for your article. This is essentially the element of the game that makes it different to others. You are able to read articles posted in the Netherlands as well as the rest of the world without moving , on the home screen merely click on the “more news” field, and then select the country’s flag.

6) Find out if there is space in the government commune and apply for a job there if space is available. This could double your daily income. Contact this guy to see if he has space:

7) Join an MU and don’t be afraid to ask for weapon or food supplies. Currently the Dutch Armed Forces is the recommended MU to join.

😎 Join the E-Netherland forum @ http://enetherlands.nl/. Apart from its entertainment value, there is also a monetary bonus for doing so.

9) Don’t forget to train and work every day and to collect your strength bonus for doing so.

10) Do not create another account, as you will get banned and die an ugly death. They may not find you on day one or day 14 but they will and then you will die. This is the most important bit of advice I can give to new players.

11) If after a couple of days you decide this game is not for you, and you are able to, please donate all you assets to an MU or a NL citizen before you leave. The NL community needs everything it can get hold of.

12) Generally speaking do not buy gold using real money (unless you are a billionaire of course). If you really like the game and want to advance a bit, wait for the weapon pack gold combo special as you get more value for money.

13) Look to collect some of the easy Freedom Fighter medals in order to fund an accelerated upgrading of your training facilities. http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/freedom-fighter-information-from-the-ministry-of-education-2394622/1/20ww

14) Do your training, fight sensibly, make friends and have fun! Soon we will have enough giant players to take over the world!
