A new feature was introduced today allowing anyone in the world to attack anyone else

1. Required Currency

This is the basic formula:
Currency Required = (1.000.000 Currency + 100.000 Currency for each region owned that is not original ) * ( 1 + (25 * Number of distinct Food Resources Owned)/100 ))

This does look more complicated than it actually is and I will show you how it works with two very different examples,

• Germany
- 1.000.000 DEM basic costs
We currently have 5 Danish Regions,
- 1.000.000 DEM + 500.000 DEM
and 3 Food bonus
- (1.000.000 + 500.000) * (1 +((25 * 3)/100))

That means, we would have to pay 2.625.000 DEM for a single airstrike, excluding the necessary food.

• Poland
- 1.000.000 PLN basic costs
Poland is currently occupying 29 regions in France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland
- 1.000.000 PLN + 2.900.000
and of course they have 5 types of food bonus
- (1.000.000 + 2.900.000) * (1 +((25 *5)/100))

Equals an amount of 8.775.000 PLN for an attack, as you can see the amount of occupied regions and food bonus significantly raises the price.

2. Required Health

Again the basic formula:
Health Resources Required = (Country Population + All Allies Population ) * 50

Well, calculating the exact population is not so easy due to data not beeing uptodate or missing alltogether. Right now Germany has 24 (when the USA proposal is over, 25) MPP’s, which means a combined population of about 78.000 inhabitants. The idea of gathering the food is basically to create some sort of traveling fare. Right now there is a promotion (until day 1732) where every citizen, that is level 25 or above, can donate food to the state in order to help reach the necessary amount.

• Germany
Our Alliance has about 78.000 inhabitants
- 78.000 * 50

That means additionally to the 2.625.000 DEM we are going to need 3.900.00 wellness, or 390.000 Q5 food, which costs about 1.10 DEM a piece right now and equals an amount of 429.000 DEM.


• Poland
Poland and friends currently have about 80.000 inhabitants
- 80.000 * 50

So on top of the 8.775.000 PLN , Poland would have to get 4.000.000 wellness, or 400.000 Q5 food which is another 440.000 PLN.

Possibilities
Well now, there are is a heap of new tactical possibilities which are going to make this game a little more interesting.

Generally the procedure of the attack is the same as the Natural Enemy proposal, the proposal is presented to the congress who has to accept with with a two thirds majority. Of course here the requirements have to be met, now there is a national storage where enough money and food has to be stored in order to pay for the proposal. Thanks to the current promotion it is possible for the citizens to donate food to the storage.

The additional options which are starting to unfold do have two sides. On the one hand Germany would lose the tactical advantage of successful Danish Resistence Wars in order to cut off an attacking country. On the other hand it does create the opportunity to liberate ourself from the almost stalemate like situation we are facing with Poland in the south (treaty), Sweden in the east (treaty), Norway and Russia in the north (EDEN/Terra) and our only current option for an attack UK in the west.
As you can imagine it will be disadvantageous to hold as many useless regions as Poland currently does, because it massively increases their costs for an airstrike.

Of course there are more scenarios. Imagine Poland would attack France (the names and the scenario is pure fiction) and there are somehow only a few regions left, one would be able to attack France in order to send “peacekeepers” by blocking the Polish attack and closing the war, which could eventually lead to a safe congress for France.

Another possibility which a few more people might enjoy, is of course a coordinated airstrike from several countries on a single target.

It is not possible to start an airstrike when your country does not have any regions, so “evacuating” your people to another country does not work.
In case the first attack fails, the war is closed.
And finally the necessary resources to start the proposal are obviously gone as soon as it passes in congress
