MCKitkat for CP - Addressing my opponent's 'plans'

Greetings Belgium,

I’m once again seeing the need to address the ludicrous accusations and “plans” of my opponent. You may have noticed that I am literally the only candidate addressing my opponent’s platform as well as presenting detailed figures for my plans.

You may also have noticed the boisterous claims of increased activity from the media by my opponent, which is certainly no thanks to his party, who have been awfully absent from the media for most of the time or seem to believe that posting such vital comments as “vote” “Good job” “Good read” or any other such variation is a sign of activity.

I’d argue that my opponent can claim increasing the activity in Belgium in the same way an arsonist can claim to have increased the activity of the fire department. The fire department isn’t doing the firefighting because they like to be active, but because they must put out the raging fires the arsonist is starting.


The Economic “Agenda”

My opponent spent a comically large part of his “economic program” explaining what concessions are and why we need to start transforming our economy to give less concessions and instead get concessions ourselves to increase our productivity.

In order to achieve that, my opponent suggests a program to support or subsidize creating companies and make Belgian players self-sufficient. Since my opponent has a plan for his budget in the same way a dog has a plan to rob Fort Knox (so none at all), I’d like to get some figures straight.

We currently get 30k BEF per day from our concession partners. My opponent not only wants to replace those 30k BEF per day income by taxes and profits from the subsidized companies (we shall get to the profits soon enough) but also make even more than 30k BEF per day to allow for Belgium to get our own concessions. So, we would require an income of at least 100k BEF per day to get our current concessions, and this wouldn’t even guarantee us full production bonuses. Please be aware that our 50k daily income is divided into 30k from concessions and 20k from taxes! Even if we don’t get our own concessions, all of our companies would be established outside of Belgium to benefit from the production bonuses. This would not increase our income by much at all, since most taxes would go to the country where our players have their holdings.

Now regarding the profit from the companies. Logically speaking, a self-sufficient player will no longer need to buy goods from the market. Therefore, Belgium would turn into a producer state, but without anybody buying our goods, we’d have to sell outside of Belgium, thus not benefiting our own market at all but pushing those players away into foreign markets. This is not even considering the investment needed to make a player self-sufficient, which may take several months if not years even before he can make a profit. Especially considering that self-sufficiency depends on each individual player. A strong active fighter needs much more than a two-clicker.

Our government would therefore have to spend a tremendous amount of money to subsidize companies and wait several months if not years to start getting that money back. I’d like to remind each and every one, that there is no way to guarantee that the funds are used in an adequate manner. The risk of players just leaving or outright refusing to share their profits would make this sort of deal incredibly risky to the Belgian government.

Now my opponent wishes to continue the current programs as well as institute a food welfare program as well as the company subsidy program. Now since my opponent has absolutely ZERO figures in his “plans” I assume he’s either going to offer largely insignificant food programs or largely insignificant subsidies, therefore defeating the point of either of those programs.

That is why, I prefer to use our current funds to help our players right now! (Not in 2-3 years) and without such a substantial risk to our own income that would mean an end to any social welfare programs out there. By giving our players free food for air fights as well as weekly cash rewards, they can accomplish personal goals and use the reward to invest into the future the way they want. Be it by investing in companies or into better guns or exchanging that money into gold. We want to offer a choice!


The Foreign Affairs “Agenda”

My opponent has made some very bold claims towards our TW partners, accusing them of being unfairly cross against them because they are HOPE and not ATO. I would take such matters seriously if we didn’t have:


1. A CP so inactive in the beginning of her terms that she failed to launch TW when they needed to be launched and so unresponsive that it took almost an entire day for her to respond to a request by the Germans to start the TW.
2. A Minister of Defence who overhits in the German TW, in a battle that we are supposed to lose by such a comically large amount that it naturally pisses off anybody on the opposing side.

Seriously? Dafür kann ich mich nicht mal entschuldigen, sondern mir einfach nur an den Kopf fassen.


3. A Minister of Defence who also keeps fighting on the wrong sides of our TWs.
4. A potential TW with Japan, that is only possible if we give up one of our provinces and thus our concession on said province (we’re renting all our provinces atm) thus meaning less income for a war we can’t sustain. (Reminder, we don’t have many active fighters to deal with 2 TWs and a third one inside of our country would complicate the starting of our ongoing TWs even more, especially knowing our government has shown a tremendous amount of incompetence to start wars on time.

Maybe it’s not that our international partners dislike HOPE, but more that they dislike incompetent people? So maybe before our partner can treat us better, we should probably start treating them better, like equals maybe?


The Society “Agenda”

HOPE, the party that spent its entire existence declaring that any Constitution and outside Forum was stupid, useless and an oppressive measure. That refused to partake in them until ATO slowly got rid of it all to please them, now wants to re-establish a forum. The party that complained about the Forum Elite with their useless forum positions and that was so adamant of bringing Congress back ingame is now asking for those same positions to return. That’s got to be the biggest turn of the century since the Italians joined the Allies in the First and Second World War, combined! Let me remind you that Vincent Pain is still part of HOPE and clearly supports this move, a move he attacked in the past all so often!

Our government has been absolutely silent except publishing news about the Lotto, the BHP and using official government orgs to post comments and endorse CP candidates!

Yes, they really did do it. Talk about neutrality!

Our government has shown multiple times that it doesn’t want to interact with anybody of the opposition. Instead it attacks us for refusing to work with them, despite the fact that we regularly start discussions but see an outright refusal from HOPE members to partake in those discussions.

The latest example was the minimum wage proposal, started without discussion, with HOPE accusing ATO of not wanting to debate and then refusing themselves to debate ATO when they pointed out their position. The government also just started a MASS-PM with party representatives, a mere 3 days before new elections. Talk about communication!

I’ve learned that in order to inspire confidence, you need to lead with example. Clearly, we are unable to build bridges since one side is adamant on destroying said bridges and then wondering why there is no bridge anymore. My government will publish weekly reports as well as promote Congress activity with Mass-PMs with Congress representatives and new structures like the Immigration Committee.


Final Words

I’m not even going to bother addressing the proposed government of my opponent. We have members in there that have shown as much activity and competence as a rock. We have members in there who have abused social welfare programs without any repercussion! My opponent has once again made high and above promises without any real plan on how to achieve it all. He has once again sown distrust among our partners and claimed once again the big ATO conspiracy all the while making sure his friends profit of their position!

Maybe I’m not sheeple enough to buy their claims of conspiracy. Maybe I’m just a common sense person that cares about this country and has presented an honest, clear plan and way forward. My opponent has once again shown he cares more about sowing hate in this community and refuses to present concrete plans. The promised activity has been lacking, the government has shown contradictory positions and reeks of incompetence.

I’m looking forward to the HOPE activity under this article, if there’s even going to be any. Also worth pointing out that this article addressing my opponents program is longer than is entire program!
