Long in the Tooth

I've never really paid attention to my anniversary date or birthday in the past. The only thing that made me notice and check was Yetlanesi's article released yesterday and I knew mine was sometime in May. The last few years I always meant to write or atleast shout but I always seemed to miss the date by a week or more.

All I ever really knew was it was near the end of may. Well its may the 20th and after 6 years and dying multiple times in game I'm still here and I finally snagged the date.

Most decorated 9 time Canadian CP ever and longest serving Dictator for now.

Hard to imagine I've been here 6 years and committed so many hours of my life to a make believe world where tempers flare and emotions can sometimes run high for good and ill. I've been a part of this nations many highs and probably more lows than I care to remember.



I think the only game I've played longer is World of Warcraft as my old lost love Socom is long dead.

My only advice if your looking for a way to stay engaged in a game which most times does not share the love you give it back is to find a cause to support and surround yourself with players who agree with it.

Whether it be for your nation, MU or political party just run with it and see where it goes. Some will say why bother when the game might die soon. As in real life most don't live a pessimistic existence like that so why carry it into a virtual game.

I might be guilty of a lot of things in this game But I've never carried a the game is over attitude.

The new players of this game in our nation are instantly met with a negative attitude about the game of "why bother" from its long time old farts. No ones trying to build and create anything anymore because of the "why bother" opinion. So now after a couple years of this we wonder why the community is stagnating. That can't all be pinned on me or any one leader within our community.

Our long time players need to be writing or spreading the word of our accomplishments in the past. The moments when we took the high road defiantly facing a wipe against a larger foe. Never folding under oppression and occupation of foreign rule. The community only dies when we let it. Were leaving nothing to strive for to our new or semi coat tailing player base.

Why does the heritage of our nation need to die with players like Plugson when there's so many still alive from when he was around to spread the word. CPF itself has a long and rich history from TFD to funky. But whens the last time we heard of it?

Since they had over 150 members?

MDPS long and rich history of poor Leaders Aeriala and Sasha aligned with always supporting entertaining but lost cause international wars.

Not a word.

MDP leadership has long been dead. Sorry to say IBB hasn't been getting it done for a long time now. Its not fair to name names but No one will fill a void already not being filled.

I haven't been MDP PP for years now. Always hoping someone would step forward.

The French party always not being that strong in the past but actually in a position to carry sway.

Canada is about stories and going down our current path and not even taking into consideration the civil war brewing that book is going to come to a close rather quickly. Were a dying nation. One Foreign PTO from death in my opinion if we can't shake it.

Perhaps the cure for Canada is for the old guard to step aside and let a new generation of players lead, bumps along the way and all. Act as stewards and soldiers for when the envitable mistakes of inexperience are made.

For a long time now we have had no new blood take a front a center role in our community and both sides are guilty of not sharing power. What would happen if we just stepped aside for 3 months to see who would rise to the occasion from within to lead.

There's no easy fix from where were currently sitting as a community. All I know is civil war started by one person is breathing some life into a dying community. It might not be the best solution. I haven't seen anything else brought forward from our other community leaders and that's on them. One player can only do so much.

What if a few more players stepped forward with other opinions and options with the same zeal I always carry.

Just a thought after 6 years of gameplay from a warmonger and leader.



Over the years I've made mostly enemies and few friends from my decided method of gameplay but regardless of your view of me I have kept you engaged in the game. Even if you logged on to call me down and argue against my stances its a testament to my influence. That's not me being cocky or having a god complex, it just is.

Few have been around for all the fights I have picked over the years but the list is very long. I doubt I could even remember them all.

So for fun list one of my many feuds in comments and I'll send you one gold. Only list one. List more and you get nothing.

I'm sure there's way better games out there to play but being able influence so many players even those that hate me kept me logging in.

So the next time you log in to call me down thinking your hurting my feelings or really sticking it to me. I log in all the more smiling and nodding to myself readying a jerky rebuttal.

Truth be told I was way more of an A**hole and jerk 5 years ago in this game than I am today. I've rambled on longer than I should have as I usually do bad grammar and all.
