Journalism Workers Looking to Strike

Budget Amendment Held Up in Congress

During yesterday's Press Briefing with Press Secretary Paul Proteus, he mentioned a line item budget amendment that Congress has yet to approve. This budget amendment line item was an allocation of $2 million USD a month for new type writers and new news boy caps to help the struggling Local 303 Journo Workers Union. The Pravda White House Correspondent, then questioned the esteemed Press Secretary for more information.

Press Secretary Paul Proteus had this to say, "From my understanding, Congress allocated roughly 2 million USD a month, but last month a delinquent media team led by Secretary of Media Paul Proteus (no relation) blew the hat budget on cocaine and x-men comics, and the media department is now 4 million USD in debt, and Congress is questioning the efficacy of the whole newsboy cap program. I agree this is a major crisis that Congress should address at once."

This is a blatant attempt to hold up budget funds already allocated to a once strong and robust union. Congress must pass this amendment as soon as possible. Pravda has learned from a Senior White House Official, that Local 303 leaders not only expressed their displeasure at this recent turn of events, they are currently considering going on strike.

Local 303 has a membership of almost 5000 old timey journalists and newspaper boys. A strike of this magnitude would severely cripple the old timey print media sector. Luckily for Pravda we are strictly eNews.

Call up your Congressmen and Congresswomen and get this amendment pushed through.
